One of the first things I needed to address when installing my license plate was the rusty nut.

Sanded and painted, also replaced rusted backup camera hardware.

Floor mats had logos that were once glued on, and it left nasty yellow glue spots on the mats, took a spare shaver and cut the glue out.

Love these cars. How similar is this to the TSX wagon? I've always wanted one of those for the wife.

I can't believe you found one with such few miles. That is damn impressive. Love that generation of TL; definitely the best looking generation IMO. :thumbsup

Thanks guys. I like the car a lot, I’ve been trying to source information on preventative maintenance for these cars, and really all that people recommend is fluid changes and tire rotations and then a few important things around 100k. I expect this car to be pretty reliable and last me though college!

I do have to say though after sitting in this car for weeks and then getting in the Zhp, the Zhp is much more comfortable.

When I bought this car the front passenger seat was like rock hard. I don’t know if any of you guys have used Leatherique but it is amazing.

Layered it on the hardened leather and put the car in the sun and let it sit for a few days. Softened the leather quite a bit. I will be redoing this process next year when it’s really hot outside.

That's all she needs. Once you do the timing belt and valve adjustment (if necessary), then you'll be good for another 100k.

Sounds crazy, but very convenient.

I don’t think it’s faster than my zhp. It definitely has better power at higher Rpms though. The zhp has more in the lower.

Any tips on removing hard carpet stains? Previous owner must have spilled some juice or something. Everything else in the car is CLEAN.

The J32 is a great motor. The J35a8(TL Type-S) is even better! It would put a hurting on a ZHP, until the first turn.

As far as the stains, hot water, good laundry detergent and a terry cloth should make it look better.

Also got the compustar remote start installed. Up to 2 mile range (it’s like half a mile but still a lot).
