I've done a bit of searching and haven't found a solid answer.

I'm trying to identify ZHP cams. The part number on them is 1.748.969 & 1.748.970. Looking in Realoem this part number does not correlate to the ETK. Any insight into this would be very helpful.

Thanks, George

I recently read on here that the ZHP cams came from an alpina. If thats true they may have some more info or maybe a different part number.

Well, I have no more further info on this as far as ID goes. But I was able to confirm the block serial number is the correct block for the vin# it came with. I am 99.9% sure that these are ZHP cams. I've got some 330s kicking around, I'll check the part numbers on their cams and see what that leads to.

RealOEM gave me the same part numbers for cams if I selected a 330i vs typing in the vin number of my ZHP. I'm guessing the cams are standard 330i cams and not the alpina cams.

I did find this link here - which has part numbers and might be helpful searching them. (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/m54-performance-engine-kit-no-longer-available/11120429575/?utm_content=JHorak&utm_campaign=postreply&utm_source=e46fanatics&utm_medium=forum&salesrep=JHorak)

Thanks NewJack.

I looked over the cams and didn't see any Alpina markings, so IDK about that assumption.

I'm under the assumption that the ZHP cams are ground off of the original 330 cams and thus have the same physical pn# cast into them, but when you buy them new, they come with either a sticker or bagged with the "ZHP" pn#.

Alpina may have been contracted by BMW to grind the cams for them either from standard cams or their own. I doubt they'd be an off the self cam with an Alpina part number....

I can’t help you identify them, but I can tell you the ZHP cams are more aggressive than standard b30 cams but not as aggressive (and different) than Schlick 248 cams. Recently had a set measured and confirmed specs.
