Just wondering about options for those of us that unfortunately need to run front license plates. From reading threads here and on e46fanatics the two major options have been the OEM plate holder or the tow hook style plate holders. I bought the wrong OEM holder (nonzhp) by mistake and wanted to check to see if I was missing other options before ordering the correct one. Thanks!

I think most people who need a front do the tow hook style. There are better ones than others though and I am sure the folks with experience in these will chime in.

The other one is the gominigo kit. It's the BMW30 kit for $59.95. The USMillworks is better as I believe it backs the whole plate. The GMG kit leaves about an inch on each side (left and right) of the plate.

I bought a $15 tow hook one on amazon. It just needs a washer and some loctite and it hold up well. The kit as is was flimsy since it didn’t include the locking washer.

US Mill works is the way to go. I've had both the Gominigo kit and the US Mill works kit and the US Mill works kit is by and far the best choice. The build quality, ease of removal and usefulness of the US Mill works kit is top notch.

The Gominigo kit was alright. But you could bend the plate around while it was hitched to the front of the car which I didn't like. Also when removing it you have to spin the license plate around and if you don't bend the plate right you will scratch your front bumper.

I've put the US Mill works kit on both my ZHP and the 135.

I had the same experience with the Gominigo kit. It was cheaper, but it showed. It was quite annoying to remove for track events, and even had to buy an SAE wrench to remove the darned thing IIRC.

I bought a US Mill Works one to replace it since GMG one got trashed; haven't installed it yet, but it looks super high quality in the packaging.

What they said. Both fine but US Millworks the best.
