I have been told a sedan a touring M3 dead pedal (euro only) will fit just fine

Not sure about the euro version.

But a sedan dead pedal will not fit a coupe. About an inch difference in the door sill figment.

You could take the metal m3 plate off and fit it on a standard sedan dead pedal

These are new for approx $60 at getbmwparts.com. No sense in buying used for a few bucks less...

If that were for a sedan I’d be all over it. Apparently the standard US coupe M3 dead pedal is too short for sedan figment.

Ecs sells the sedan version too

Well, thanks lol. I typed in M3 foot rest/M3 dead pedal as search options and all it pulls up is the coupe version

Jacob,

Bill is correct, ECS Tuning has the sedan version. He posted this link which points to the Sedan version:

https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/m-aluminum-dead-pedal-black/51437902389/ (https://www.ecstuning.com/b-genuine-bmw-parts/m-aluminum-dead-pedal-black/51437902389/)

Current price for a new one is $84.13

It's a few pennies cheaper from Turner, but I don't know shipping costs. Be sure to check with Brian at Sun Motorcars in PA - he can often beat the others' pricing - BKeller@sunmotorcars.com>

Keep in mind that anything purchased from Turner Motorsports website is shipped from the ECStuning warehouse. Turner no longer has anything stocked at that location.

Current pricing is below without shipping:

BMW of Fairfax - $73.47
BMW of Morristown - $78.77
ECSTuning - $84.13
GetBMWParts.com - $85.93
The BMW Part Store - $86.65

The prices have gone up a bit since I last bought one. That pretty much applies to all bmw parts. I remember buying a new zcp steering wheel for $475 and a silver cube trim set for $400. They are now both over a grand each....

Not sure if these break as often as the regular ones do though, so maybe it won't ever break. Who knows.

Perhaps adding some dense foam (styrofoam?) behind the pedal portion, if there's room, can help avoid cracking.

I've beat the dogshit out of my M3 dead pedal without a hint of cracking. And I mean I've stood/stomped on it. It's creaky af, but tough.

gettin mad cuz it creaks

It's just normal plastic on plastic sound when I press on it. Doesn't creak when driving or anything like that. I'm just a nitpicky bitch about creaks, even when they're caused by my input. I'll probably die from angrily stomping a hole in a creeky wooden bridge.

Mine has no creaks. Maybe reinstall it?

Mine has no creaks. Maybe reinstall it?Probably a good idea. It was installed by the dealer that I bought the car from since the original was cracked.

...or I'll stomp it real good like

While I can't speak for the Pizzaman, I can say that if you use the dead pedal to support your body while on track to prevent gripping the steering wheel, it gets weak pretty quickly. :)

Pardon my ignorance. I thought the dead pedal was for decoration. Perhaps it's intended for those who track. :ninja

Not really - it's there so you have something to rest your left foot on. It's a pretty standard thing on what I would imagine to be all cars...

Mine has no creaks. Maybe reinstall it?Update on this: mine was in fact misinstalled by the dude that sold me the car. Not bad, just missed the middle clip so it wasn't fitting flush.

I confirmed that it was the right part for the coupe and got the fitment fixed, but it was still hella creaky so I busted out some UHMW tape (https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00823JBHA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_e1WOBb8HKQ2A0) and covered the edges that rub against the carpet when you press on the pedal. Now it's silent even when you stand on it.

Still to test: stomping
