Hello all,

I'm struggling to come up with a good list of parts for a suspension refresh/upgrade for our 70k miles 2006 Vert. Lots for sedans and coupes, but nothing Vert specific.... but then again maybe there isn't a Vert specific plan?

I'm enjoying spirited country road driving and want to refresh but also upgrade to closer to what "Scarlett", our sedan, has... courtesy of Daniel's smart choices with Bilstein shocks/struts, M3 front control arms, Z4M FCAB etc. Scarlett is still very nice on the drive to work and then shows her beast mode when the RPM hit 5000 and the road gets curvy. That's what I want. For a start I want to focus on suspension only and the Vert is probably due anyway.

Can anyone point me to an appropriate thread or make a recommendation based on experience? Thanks in advance.

H&R has part numbers specific to verts, but a lot of the stuff, (CABs, etc) are the same as coupes.

As a start, you can take a look at my suspension refresh thread. Daniel and I had very similar approach to how we wanted our cars to be, basically "OEM+"

After that, I would cross reference part numbers from my thread with your convertible's VIN at realoem.com. Hope that helps!

This is very helpful. I guess I want our Vert to feel a bit more like Scarlett and your list is a pretty strait forward way to start. Scarlett has Bilsten PSS, but is otherwise similar to your build.

Time to start budgeting to buy the parts!

As far as I recall Scarlett just has the standard zhp front control arms with z4m front control arm bushings.

Those Bilstein are a really nice touch. I remember helping Daniel install them.
