Hi guys, been on here for a while but not started a project thread so thought it was about time I did.
Background of the car.
2002 touring Edition 33 1 of 333 units to celebrate 30 years of the BMW touring.
N42 1.8 engine
Individual estoril blue 1 of 103 cars in this colour.
The car has not been looked after and requires a lot of TLC which will happen over time. this is how the car looks now, i'll try and keep the updates coming.
The Plans are a full S54 M3 conversion with Recaro CS seats, More to come later.

Like all E46 tourings the rear wiper had seized so the first order is to remove that,
I like clean things and factory looking. 8)
Also got rid of the lockon the door for a blankpanel
Then played with the dash from the M3 whichis in and coded with tamper dot. needs to have 4 door indicators though just like Nex ;)

very cool! excited to see your progress here.
i love the way the rear wiper delete looks, but i couldn't live with that from a functionality perspective - i use the rear wiper all the time.
and, have removed/cleaned/lubed it once already. it's time to do it again.

The last few days i've made a few things and also here's a pic of the interior, the blue is from the factory like this.
Changed the upper cowling on the steering wheel to a blank one, i like a MFSW but too many buttons areonthe BMW one with no use. and I'm not sure if the Cruise will work when i fit the S54. also the steering wheel will be recovered when the seats are done.
Also changed my mind maybe about wheels, I have these Porsche turbo wheels which i love and after reading Nextel's thread his rear was the same width as the normale 46 axle and the front he ran the original bmw wheels 8x18 et 47 with 15mm spacers which made a et 32, the porsche wheels are 8.5 et 52 so with a 15mm adaptor thats makes 38 so should fit perfectly, but need to double check this tonight.

Are those legit Turbo Twists? I thought Porsche used a really wonky lug pattern.

So yesterday my H&R adaptors arrived finally and i got the wheels on the car,
I can't wait to fit the wider M3 axle on the front and get the coilovers on to drop it another 10mm on the front and 5mm on the rear.3262932628

Looks so clean. Once the E46 is 25 years old I might have to import an Estoril Touring.

cool! i can imagine the price is worth it as seat belts are a safety item and need to be held to a standard... but that's a bit too expensive for me for something like colored belts. ;) they look great though!
