I’m selling my Keyless Entry kit from an E9x to go into an E46. Yes, this is a real thing. Proof: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Um-HwhT2ofE
and without the key inserted (full keyless):https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4RNRX4vueAQ
Not much else to say other than this project isn’t for the faint of heart. There is minor custom fab required but more importantly a lot of wiring, so you much be comfortable with tech in that sort. I have EVERYTHING you need except for wires and the custom board (I have schematics for you) which can be found here (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showpost.php?p=17190139&postcount=57)
What’s included:
-2 key sensors
-door handle w/sensor (extra $30 - this is to experiment with touches entry - it seems very possible)
-antenna
-Key fob, DME, CAS
-Body control module
-Comfort access module
-button + ribbon
Asking $400 +shipping for everything, so $370 if you don’t want the door handle (since this bit is undocumented). Feel free to ask questions. I will add pics late tonight (lots of work today).

This looks quite cool, however--what would be the point of this? Genuinely curious.

To have comfort access...
As in, not have to use the key to open the door and start the car.
I just wish it wasn't so much money. I'm broke. lol

I’m willing to take $400 if that reaches your budget
So bump for new low price

Thanks for the offer, but unfortunately I still have a set of track pads and track tires ahead on the priority list, and even those are looking unlikely for now. :(
I appreciate it though!

Very cool. I got something similar over here as I prepare for laguna. Especially for your setup, I highly recommend some brake ducting. I was able to make some for $150 both corners with minimal cutting. PM me if you want some details on that. The intake is 4" diameter a side.

Haven't yet run into an issue with brake cooling, so I haven't done anything with brake ducting yet. I think my brakes do a decent job dissipating the heat on their own (track pads, slotted rotors, high temp brake fluid). Maybe if I had more power I'd have more of a problem, but because the car is so slow, there isn't a whole lot of speed to scrub off. :)
I'm not too keen on cutting; do you have any links for this particular setup or is this something you devised?

You’d have to do cutting of some sort regardless to get air to the hub and air from the front. It is something I designed. DIY coming after finals

This is something I'd probably take. Not this second, as I'm shelling out $4k for repairs, but sometime a little later this year, I probably would.
