I'll start with mine on here and then make my own post. We had a group buy on them and I paid $600... I would sell it for $525 shipped. Full disclosure, to help it fit we extremely carefully dremeled every so slightly on part of the edge (just a few millimeters), but it's covered with the silicon/rubber seal so it's not going to matter re looks. It probably has 6 months use on it as I did not install it right away (I have a BMW Perf Intake), and then I got a supercharger which doesn't use it... so it's like new.

It's a BMW-branded air intake from their performance line. BMW claims it is good for an extra "3 hp at 6,000 RPM." Below is a pic from my maintenance thread and a link to a brochure of BMW Performance parts available for the E46. The parts are no longer being produced, so you have to buy them second hand.
