Here's a few pics of my ride. Pics are sort of a progression I suppose, figured I'd start a thread for all to see, if not just for myself to refer to from time to time.
Pics sent to me by the PO presale, I purchased it out of town about 3 hours north in Tacoma, WA.

Jeff, you should integrate these photos into your projects thread. Would be a good thing.
By the way, car looks great.

You think? I guess I assumed it was more of a vehicle progression "photo gallery" than a project thread, but you're the boss!

Fine! Haha, so how do I move it there? Or can one of you two fine gents do that for me? Thanks Dane, and you're right, there will be more to come in the very near future.

Jeff, let me clarify. Feel free to leave them here. But make sure these photos also make it to the project thread. Definitely a good place for them.

04-05-2011, 03:04 PM
Oh okay gotcha, copy that boss. I had actually planned to do a real project thread outlining each mod I did with pics and a little bit about each one. Might be a boring read because they're all pretty simple, but it might just help someone out. When I get some more time and all the pics taken/downloaded I'll write it up in the Projects thread for sure.
Marcus-SanDiego

Cool. And, yeah, I imagine these project threads do help people out. I see guests (coming from Google) hitting these threads. So, they're getting something out of them. Plus, the projects forum is one of my favorite parts of the site. (New members forum is probably my favorite.)

Not sure what kind of camera he had, some big ol' Nikon job, I'm not real photography knowledgeable as you can see... Thanks man, I love that pic of the rear too, probably my favorite of the day. I just wish at the time I had received my OR plates from DMV and I had installed my black 330i badge.

Thanks! It was a gloomy NW Saturday afternoon, perfect for quality pics, bright sunlight just doesn't show the car like an overcast day does.
Thanks for the love all!

Nice ride! Looking forward to more pictures from the PDX. I used to come out that way for work; my stops at Reed College and Oregon State. My favorite place to grab a bite to eat around PDX (the airport) is Der Rheinlander (co-located with Gustav's Bier Stube) (http://rheinlander.com/).
I can only imagine some of those roads around Multnomah Falls (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Multnomah_Falls) would be fun in the ZHP.

Thanks Bill, more pics to come soon...as soon as my bank account recovers from these mods! I've been to Der Rheinlander a couple times, definitely authentic German food, love the old timers running around with their accordions rockin polka all night.
I haven't had a chance to drive through the Columbia Gorge yet but it's on the list! I'll head out to the falls when it warms up a bit. I've been out to the beach a couple times though, 75 miles of wooded twists and turns, gotta watch out for the cops out there but it's a great drive.

Sweet Find! Great modding. Where did you order your clears? Thats next on my list.
See ya around the neighborhood.

Thanks man. I ordered ALL of my lighting through Umnitza, those guys are legit. Tim is who I spoke to, Matt is a good guy as well. They gave me a great deal, stuff got to me fast since they're in the SF bay area, they're cool, helpful and patient on the phone...great experience. And they even tossed a few free extras in the box.
Another fellow PDX'er, very nice, where are you located? Are you a CCA member? If so are you gonna be doing any of the upcoming events or drives? Check out the Northwest section in the "Regional Forums & Events" thread for updates if you're interested.

Few things...
1. The silver with the brown interior is simply amazing.
2. What's your review of the BMW Performance Intake?
3. What's your review of the Dinan stage 1 software? Any discernible differences?
Edit - one more:
4. Where'd you get the xenon m3 fogs?

1. The silver with the brown interior is simply amazing. Thanks, I love it!
2. What's your review of the BMW Performance Intake? Pretty much the same as all the other gents here, looks great and it's an easy install, but as far as performance is concerned I can't tell any difference. It does sound better than the OEM one once you get above 3k and have your foot into it, but only you would probably be able to tell, a passenger wouldn't be like "dude your car is beefy!" ya know? It's mainly for asthetic appeal.
3. What's your review of the Dinan stage 1 software? Any discernible differences? Maybe a little, but nothing where you're gonna be thrown back in your seat after the install. I haven't tested the rev limiter or the top speed, but the low end torque seems better, hesitation between 3-4k is gone and the throttle response seemed to have improved slightly. But I may just be imagining those things, wanting them to all be improved like the website says. But hey, it definitely didn't hurt the performance right?! One of the driving forces behind both the Dinan software and the BMW Perf intake was the deals, they were both on sale and I knew I'd be pissed if I didn't take advange. However the $$ vs. performance gain was not really worth it in my opinion, there's gotta be a better way to spend $600. So basically if you're on a budget I'd say to save your cabbage.
4. Where'd you get the xenon m3 fogs? I got them through Umnitza and I freakin love them! Here's the link.

Jeff,
Where did you get the Shadow 330i badge? Mi Gusta!!
We need to get SixSins, you and I together for a good old fashion meet up. I have seen him twice now near my office off the Haines Street Exit! Let me know when your free in the next couple weeks and we'll make it happen!

Sounds good to me! Are you a CCA member? I've been trying to hit up their events and meetings but haven't been able to fit any in my schedule yet. I plan on doing this drive at the end of May, you should come along.
http://bmworegoncca.com/club-news-events/touring-events-festivals/mcminnville-tour/
I'll also be hanging out in the BMW corral at the Rose Cup races at PIR in June 18-19. Registration has ended for that, but maybe you could still sneak in.
I got the shadow badge right here...

Actually, yes! my dad and I are hoping to make the drive to McMinville. I need to become a member though...kind of been putting it off. I am planning on that one though for sure!
I'll be at the Rose Cup as well...it's an annual thing with the men in the family and definitely walking around the corral if I can't get in...that's the best weekend of the year :)! Thanks for the tip on the Shadow badge. I will be getting the matte black for sure!

05-06-2011, 07:38 AM
Sweet well I guess I'll be seeing you at both events...hopefully. I'd really like to do the McMinville drive but naturally it's on a Saturday and I'll have to get that day off, right after I'll have just taken 8 days off for Mexico next week. We'll see, but I'll definitely be at the Rose Cup races, hanging with the old man between his PCA group and our corral. Got any pics of your car??

You're supercharged?!? Oh man I bet that's fun... I was about to say our cars are identical, however it appears you have a slight edge haha. Nicely done! Do you have dyno results for the hp & tq gains? Is it faster than an E46 M3? sorry for all the questions, but supercharging is something that interests me down the line a bit.

I actually just pulled the SC and sold it (have to update my info). It was quick though (289rwhp/247tq)...it was basically an M3 saloon, but I needed this car to last me for A LONG time. It's still fun...but I miss the whiplash a little bit :)!
