06 ZHP For Sale

Sadly, the time has come to sell my ZHP. Car is in great shape, and if it could tow our 6,000lb boat I would be keeping it, but alas it's time for an F150, it's still a twin turbo v6 right?

Anyway here are the details on the car:

06 ZHP Black Coupe
100,500 Miles
Six Speed
Cold Weather Pack
Black interior / Exterior

Car just had the entire cooling system refresh completed. I have service records back to when I purchased it 5 years ago at 55k miles. Car is in amazing shape for it's age, like I said just time for a truck.

Car is in Louisville KY. $7,000 seems fair but am open to offers. Would love for it to go to a good home instead of CarMax.

Wish you would have posted that before I posted the price....Just based it on a few other for sale threads on here. Car is in awesome shape, like I said would love it to go to a BMW person instead of a local buy here pay here lot. People see a 12 year old BMW and miss that its a ZHP pack car.

Respect for you!! I do hope that I found this car before purchased my car though. Black on Black coupe, 06, low miles, cooling system refreshed, and on top of that all, 6 speed manual!!

OK so I am trying to do this in the least shady way possible, but after seeing the demand, and listing out the items that have been done to my car in the last couple years, I think I under estimated it's value. In the last year alone I have done a cooling system refresh, valve cover gaskets, coils and plugs, and a ps pump. The car is just over 100k and in great shape.

I have a couple people interested but don't have any firm offers at this time so I don't feel horrible doing this. I am going to change the price to $8,500. People have said I was 3k under at 7k, so I will split that and go up just a bit. Still think its a fair price for the car.

I am getting back to everyone that sent me a private message /w pics. Hope you guys all understand. She is my baby I hate to see her go.

you shouldn't feel bad at all. the price was very low and any one that was on the fence and kicking tires for your car at that extremely low price.. well that's just punishment to them for taking so long to consider if and being uber cheap. Your new price is still very very good so again dont feel bad.

I can understand the confusion. Most sellers update their original post to reflect the current price so that buyers don't have to sift through various pages to find the current price. So the fact that the original post and a later post don't match in price could be confusing.

I have been following this thread and I know that he raised the price from $7000 to $8500. But the first post still states it as $7000. If I was looking at the for sale thread for the first time I would look at the first post and think the price is $7000 not $8500. So I was not sure if the owner dropped the price back to $7000, hence my question.

Thanks for all the interest but in the end just couldnt part /w the car right now. It's in too good of shape. Worked out some finances and will make the F150 and the ZHP both work. Thanks again for all the interest and replies.

I usually find with any car, if you can swing it, it's best to keep it. You neither get back what you put in nor get what you'll get out of it. That's how I wound up with six vehicles--until I gave one to my daughter as a "beater".

I guarantee if you sell the remaining 4 cars and just drive the ZHP, you'll be better of financially. ;)

+1, Reasoned1. Case in hand, my 2005 Mini Cooper. I spent $6,000 in 4 years to bring it up to my standards. It took one month to sell in CL. My asking price went from 4900 to 4300 to 3900. It sold for 3400. Very little interest from beginning to end, only one person checked it out and he bought it.

I joined the local Mini Cooper car club and was surprised to see most of the cars in there are from the 2nd or 3rd generation (mine is the 1st gen). Perhaps people look only for newer 2010+ cars ? Oh, and mine was almost at 150,000 miles so I'm sure that was a factor on the lack of interest. Even with my detailed list of service and repairs buyers just moved on.

Wow, never saw this FS ad.

Jeff hit me up when he saw a wtb ad I had created a year or so ago. We came to an agreement, after some email and phone conversations, for purchase of this ZHP but after driving some crap slushbox replacement daily's, couldn't part with the driver oriented ZHP. I even upped my offer to show him I was serious about purchasing. He humbly declined.

Fast forward to April this year and out of the blue Jeff emailed me again and asked if I was still interested in buying his car. I promptly replied and we came to an agreement for purchase, and this time for real. The deal took about a month, due to my traveling for work and not being able to make it to Kentucky.

We purchased tickets to fly into SDF and drive it back, May 18th. Weather moved in and AA canceled the flight, and we were rebooked on May 25th. We arrived in Kentucky, exchanged an envelope for a set of keys and title and got on the road to Nashville where we spent Saturday afternoon at Opry Mills Mall, and evening on Broadway Street and ended up staying out way later than anticipated but we got a few hours of sleep and departed for central Texas early Sunday morning. Ten and a half hours and nearly 800 miles later, we were pulling the ZHP into the garage at home.

The car did fantastic, and averaged just under 29 MPG. I could have gotten better mileage if I'd kept the cruise set at less than 80, but we wanted to get home...

The car is extremely well kept with good maintenance history and records and exactly as described by Jeff and pictures.

Jeff, thank you for the great deal on a great car. I will continue the maintenance regimen and love this car as you did. The transaction was flawless and Jeff is who you'd want to buy a car from. Stand up, honest guy.
