My interior stays pretty clean so no real need for liners. However, I was thinking they may be a nice alternative to the standard mats which are due to be replaced. Anyone use Weathertech liners year-round?

I assume you like them as a year-round item in the car?

BMW all weather mats are a good alternative.

I actually switched from BMW mats. I was disappointed with them; they still let a ton of crud onto the carpet around the mat instead of catching the crud.

Yeah, they're pretty good for year-round use. They look good, do a good job of holding in dirt and crud, and are easy to clean. Unfortunately the rears don't have a hook-in point; they're just loose... but they don't move around too much since it's kind of tight in that area anyway.

I did the opposite. The weathertech liners were just not attractive.

I just bought some and using them year round. Keep the car clean from the beach and various activities in the summer.

What's the draw of the cocomats over rubber or carpet? Looks or function? Or both?

What's the draw of the cocomats over rubber or carpet? Looks or function? Or both? Both in my opinion (looks and function). Don't get me wrong. Nothing will protect your carpet better than the Weathertechs, but for me (now) the Coco mats scratch the balance itch of looks and protection.

I put Weathertech liners in my ZHP and one of my 330xi's for year-round use... they work well, and I think they look great.

I run the BMW all weathers year round. They still look pretty good and keep things clean.

I use the BMW all weather mats in the fall/winter/spring and the cloth mats in the summer. The all weather matts work pretty well but they definitely don't catch every bit of detritus my feet track into the car. But that's solved with about three minutes of vacuuming anyways, so not really an issue for me.

I don't like the rear weather tech liners because the are loose, and easily slide around (my 6 y/o seats there). The front ones work great. So I have this combo and works great so far after one year: weather tech on the front and BMW all weather on rear.
