Going to do rear pads/rotors this weekend. Having read a few DIYs it seems pretty straightforward, however I've seen a lot of different info r.e. what misc. (i.e. not tools, not parts) items I'll need. My list includes Brake Disc Quiet, PB Blaster, Permatex anti-seize, Plastilube, and brake cleaner.

Can someone confirm that all 5 of these items are needed? Also I'm thinking as follows for actual use; let me know if I'm getting this wrong:

Brake Disc Quiet: put on backs of pads
PB Blaster: for getting rotor set screw out
Permatex anti-seize: for new rotor set screw and for hub face before new rotor goes on
Plastilube: for guide pins
Brake cleaner: general cleaning of caliper, brackets, and new rotors

Thanks

You should be good with that.

I did one side at the back today (the vendor sent a box of 2 rotors that only contained 1). Took a while, especially getting the old rotor off, but all went smoothly. I opened up the brake reservoir and squeezed the caliper back a bit at a time to make sure nothing overflowed. As the brake fluid reservoir was very full to start, I was surprised squeezing the caliper back (from totally gone pads) didn't have any impact on the fluid level under the hood. Is this normal?
Thanks
