Wanted to confirm that the rear jackpoint is accurately circled in yellow in the pic? i.e. not the diff itself
30250
Also, I've seen some people use jackpads for the side jack points...but can't I just place a normal jack squarely onto the pad like the shop does when it uses a lift?
If I jack the rear up from the center, a normal jack stand just goes directly under the side jack point? i.e. no pad needed?
Thanks
Correct. The rear jacking point is the subframe
I always leave the jack pads in place even if I am using jack stands

So best to buy some pads and put those b/w the jack stand and the pad already attached to the frame (for the 4 side jacking points)?
Thanks

Sorry for the confusion. I thought you were referring to the jack pads that are already attached to the car.
If you are talking about the small adapter similar to the one below, I do not use it.

I did the rear brakes just lifting up single rear corners 1 at a time. Left the jack on the pad and put a jackstand under the frame rail as backup.
Next possible DIY would need the whole front up, but leave rear down (only have 2 stands). Can I set handbrake / chock the rears, lift entire front of car up from front center jacking point, and then lower the front onto two jack stands using the front jack pads on the side?
Assuming the above process is correct, will car be stable with rear on ground but front in air?
Thanks

Yes you can do that. I've done it that way many times.
It's best to try and get a block of wood or something similar to fit in that indentation on the center jack point. Otherwise the jack will bend the aluminum...

Yep. Most of us have concave center jack point covers... not sure why it's designed like that--crushable.

They completely redesigned that jack point on the 135... Much sturdier

I'm assuming a standard floor jack can't get to the central jacking point as the car is too low. If I drive the front up on a few 2x4s stacked will that provide enough clearance to get to the front central jacking point?

I can easily reach it with my jack if I drive the front up on a 2x4. Jack heights vary tho.

If I'm careful to get the jack centered on the central front jack, I'm assuming I can lift the entire front up and then slip in stands on either side where there are pads?
Once lowered onto the stands, is it best to just leave the jack right up against the center jacking point as backup?

Yep this is what I do but I don't leave the jack under the car once it's on the stands since 90% of the time, the jack would be in the way.

Then you can still fit the jack under the rear to get to the diff carrier, lift from there, and add two more jack stands to the rear pads. Car is up and secure.
