Hey all,

Unlocking the doors with my remote has been tricky lately. I click the unlock button once and it unlocks the driver's side door (this fails only very rarely). I click the unlock button a second time and it seems to try but only works 1/10th of the time. The door handle on those doors won't unlock them either. One time I went around the car (when I had managed to get them all unlocked) and opened / closed every door. The remote worked pretty well after that for a day or two.

The button in the center console next to the emergency lights also doesn't unlock the doors.

What should be my first step? I've heard sending the GM5 module away to be fixed is a pretty standard course of action but have also read something about checking the sensor on the drivers side door (unlocking won't work if drivers side door is open? idk).

Oh, also, my seat hasn't auto-retracted in forever. I remember it happening after the second / third unlock or something, anybody know the details?

Sounds like the module to me in my experience.

Scott is the guy's name. He can also replace the battery in your keyfob.
