What's your favorite garage accessory?

Mine is probably the floor jack. Each time I used it to lift the car I probably at least saved money which was equivalent to cost if the floor jack.

Definitely a worthwhile tool to have around. I love my DeWalt 20V Max series tools. I have a friend who is an engineer at Stanley/Black&Decker, so I get employee pricing opportunities twice a year.

My favorite garage accessory? Definitely my new lighting fixtures. Allowing me to do anything in my space after the sun goes down.

One of my favorites is my ATL under hood light. This thing is great in a garage with limited light.... even in well lit garages, once you open the hood, you loose a lot of light...

after very nearly losing my right eye almost two months ago to a flying spring compressor, i have been thinking long and hard about getting one of these.

as for the favorite garage accessory... where do i begin? i have so many. none can be a favorite...

- koch tools bushing tool. after experiencing this amazing tool when i did the overhaul on my ZHP sedan over a year ago, i wondered how i had wrenched so long without it.
- air compressor. duh.
- retractable compressor hose reel. love this thing.
- impact wrench, air ratchet.... any air tool. awesome, but i don't use them as much as i should.
- ultra-low profile creeper. i'm only 37 but i still hate the feeling The Next Day after many hours laying/rolling/contorting my body on a concrete floor. this baby is ace.
- magnetic pick-up tool. we've all been there.
- lighting. the more the better.
- shop towels. heck yeah. i always have at least 3-4 rolls in the garage.
- bench-mounted vise.
- bench-mounted wire wheel and grinder. i use this thing for cleaning up cruddy bolts, re-shaping stuff, etc. love it.
- wobble extensions.
- pick tool. awesome for o-rings, coolant hose clips, etc.
- breaker bar. oh yeah.
- 5lb sledge. just enough persuasion on the end of the breaker bar when big bolts are being a big pain in the arse.
- set of ratchet-based metric hex keys.
- ratcheting box wrenches. i end up breaking these things a lot but i love them. i need a set of stubby ones...

i could go on all night...

I would say a lift is definitely the ultimate garage accessory. I hope to have a MaxJax medium height lift installed shortly after moving into our new house.

Not mines lol I want a different lift after using it for so long. Then again, my hoses and power unit isn't permanently installed. If they were, I wouldn't be so lazy to use it lol

Nah i went through the trouble of putting studs in the ground for it. The normal way to install the lift is to use their expanding nut things. I tried using that, and i had like a couple failed because it broke the concrete. So after that I was like fuck it, studs in the ground.
