I'm starting to hate EAG more and more. Always swooping up nice cars so enthusiasts can't buy them at reasonable prices.

This car was posted by another dealer on Facebook, but not listed for sale - they mentioned that they were going to keep it for personal use. Not sure how these vultures managed get it...and Lord knows they probably paid less than $20k for it....

Part of me hates them, but the other loves it. We all drive these wonderful machines and SOMEONE out there wants one enough to pay almost as much as a brand new BMW. I know "but the miles and the condition"...blah blah blah...it's still a ZHP same as all of ours. And it makes me - that one part of me - feel proud of my vehicle. The other part agrees 100% with BP. Constant selling out by these dealers and owners, but who can blame them. Business is business and everything has a price.

Though I understand the bad taste in your mouths, they (EAG) are members of the Mafia, and should be treated accordingly.

Yes. They pretty much just look at the Classifieds here :)

I don't think there's anything wrong with discussing their pricing because ultimately, it effects the same market all of our cars are in.

I have several buddies on the MyE28 forum that have been happy selling & buying cars from EAG - they just have deeper pockets!

Never said anything was wrong with discussion. Just don't want the "hate" to get out of control.

I don't really mind EAG as they focus on collectible-type cars instead of jacking up the price for "everyday" cars/zhp's.
I think worse of a place like Bimmers R Us who truly mark up cars that are not collector-type. For example, there's an imola zhp with 54K on it that i was looking at and sold for $16K and they are turning around and asking $23K for it. They have another zhp with 97K on it for $20K and another 97K one for $17K. These are ridiculous prices for cars that enthusiasts should be able to buy at much more reasonable prices.

I tried to buy this car and then the owner sent me a message that he had sold with no response after. I knew it went to these guys

Curious to how much was the previous owner asking for?

It wasn't even for sale yet, so nobody even had a chance to buy it before the vultures scooped it up.
