Low miles. Best color combo going!
William, there's the black roof on red we talked about. Thoughts?

Been for sale for a while since that price for a rebuilt title is nuts. Originally they were asking 12,500

I didn't think it would look good, but I don't think it looks bad, actually. Still not my style but if it had to be done, you could do worse things.

IMO you got lucky he turned you down. With a rebuilt title its market value is greatly lowered.

This car has been for sale since November of 2016. It was originally on Craigslist for $11,000 I believe maybe 12, I tried offering 10,500 he didn't negotiate at all and the title is rebuilt.
Then when I finally tried to come up on price the car no longer was for sale because it had a check engine light that they couldn't get rid of or diagnose. I tried to work with them for a few days on the check engine light but I kept getting the runaround and a bunch of back and forth and then a few stories about how the title was somewhere and they couldn't find it and check back later... Just really unprofessional but it was a CL car initially so it's not like I can really complain much.
The person I dealt with I was a younger guy who said it was his first rebuild from an auction. him and his uncle who happens to own that Wolfgang Auto was part of that deal AKA has money invested into it and they used his dealer license to get the car at the auction. This is pretty much why they can't go and come down on price because money is tied up between two parties. Neither party wants to lose any money so they're not going to come down on price.
The Bodywork was apparently done by him and his dad who owns a body shop and I went to that body shop to see the car. I did point out that some of the body lines where the hood in the fender are or just slightly off ever so slightly only enough to where an OCD person could really detect it.
I test drove the car and give it a good walk around. And I'll be honest the car is extremely clean and drove really well so I can vouch for that.
I was pretty bummed that I couldn't get it I was willing to look past the rebuilt title because it was extremely low miles, alcantra interior, barely any wear on the inside, and overall just look like a great car.
The rebuilt title at 66,000 miles I think the car is worth 10 maybe 10 5 but nothing more and hopefully they've got their process a little bit more efficient and don't give people the run around.

That's a remarkably similar story to a rebuilt Imola sedan I looked at north of Charlotte before finding Peter's FS post on the blue car (albeit with 30k fewer miles and fewer red flags).

I got a quote of $150 to paint the roof trim and think I'll go that route.

$150 is pretty good IMO. Cleanest option.
