I purchased this new for my ZHP sedan directly from ESS. Baby #4 on the way. Priorities changed.
Comes with everything as you would receive from ESS, including tune (unlocked and obviously never used) and flash module.
Retails for $4295 plus shipping.

Is anyone here interested at 10% discount $3,865 shipped and insured via FedEx) before I post on the 'other' forum?

Thanks. I'm starting to have second thoughts about selling as I know I will regret it immediately.

Do you have anything else to sell off? That's what I did to to justify/afford the TS2
illirep

Thanks Rob. Not a matter of affording, but a matter or priorities and no spare time.

You can fool.
Let's go. No need for an M if you snag this.

I hear ya on that! This why I'm still tuning/sorting out my TS2 that I installed last August

Reading your FS thread, I have a few things to say.
1. Congrats!
2. GLWS.
3. Public School Sex Ed lied to me; it's superchargers that cause babies.

Good point.
Tell her it's better than having to buy a whole new car.
I mean you've suffered through a Prius for Gods sake.

Hah, too late, already got the new car.
I did suffer through a Prius though. That's gotta be worth something...

Does the ZHP ECU need to be sent to ESS?

Does the ZHP ECU need to be sent to ESS?
No. It comes with a flasher module that plugs into the obd port.

Is there an ESS warranty and, if so, is it transferable?
illirep
02-11-2017, 06:30 PM
The unit comes with a 2 year warranty. I would assume it transfers if the unit is being installed as new. If you were to buy second hand used, I'd assume it doesn't transfer.

I'll give ESS a call on Monday to confirm warranty. I am interested... I'm planning on doing the same thing to my ZHP.

Unfortunately, discovered that the manufacturer's warranty only applies to the original purchaser.

Not sure why that is a deal breaker. Their products are bullet proof. It is brand new.

Because if something is wrong with it, you're stuck with a multi-thousand dollar brick.

Let me pose a question. If you were given a choice of paying $3800 for it from ESS without a warranty or had an optional warranty for an additional $500, how many people would actually buy the warranty?
If something went wrong (big if), you'd send it in and have it serviced.
If that service cost less than $500, you come out ahead.
The $500 savings is an extremely low risk bet. I'd imagine these have virtually no warranty claims. When they do, it is probably from faulty install, not being maintained properly, or being abused, all of which would likely void the warranty anyway.

Not a "deal breaker", but certainly a factor...

Why would you sell the twin screw for this kit?
illirep
03-28-2017, 04:14 PM
Had 3 ts2 ZHPs over the years. Wanted to try this new kit out.
This is also the first time I bought the kit new from ESS and wanted to build my own project car (and attempt the install on my own!). And I didn't have $8k to drop on a blower nor want to take half the engine apart installing a ts2...
The other ZHPs were purchased already supercharged by prior owners.

I'm interested, but really kinda holding out for the twin scroll.
Not to mention I haven't heard from my accountant how much I owe the IRS yet so I need to hold on to my money.
