What's up Mafia? Just thought I would check in as I haven't done so since I bought my car over 2 1/2 years ago. I lurk here periodically, checkin stuff out or whenever i'm in need of information, (thanks btw) but being a bit older, (well into my late 40's) a lot of my time is spent on family and work. Throw in a couple of other toys and hobbies i sink my money into and well, you get the idea. Anyway, in May of 2014, i was looking for a small, used, clean, inexpensive, fun to drive, sedan with an auto trans(for commuting) to serve as an all around commuter and part time family car to replace the thirsty full size truck I'd had for six years. When a couple of "e46fanatic" friends of mine recommended an e46, I laughed. "Me? Mr. American Muscle Car? Mr. Full Size American Truck? Nah, I'll pass." Well, with some guidance and help (and a little convincing) from my e46 brothers, i found this car at a dealership, not even fully understanding what zhp meant yet (even though one of my friends has one himself) or knowing what the awesome blue color was called. What i did know is that it checked off all the boxes. Long story short, today i have one of my most favorite cars I've ever owned. With a little more help from my e46 fam, I've done all the usual PM's these cars need with all oe or oem stuff. Ive added the bmw alarm retrofit, avant-2 deck, (its not that bad) retrofitsource headlight kit, koni str.t, 18x8.5 csl reps with 255/35 conti's on all 4, all new center console plastics, (awesome refresh for not a lot of money) and a bunch of other little refresh parts and some reconditioning to really make her extra clean. I absolutely love this car. It does everything i need it to do with style and class and it's a whole bunch of fun to drive. Now the problem is that I've come to think so highly of it, i feel bad for daily driving it. I've even considered selling it to someone who's going to park it in the garage and use it sparingly. Not sure what I'm gonna do. Anyway, here's some current pics. Thanks
