Has anyone seen a seat that looks like this (the one on the right)--notice the curvature? It doesn't act like it's broken (very tight and nothing loose), and I suspect it left the factory like this (my car only has 48,000 miles on it). I could be wrong though (happens often enough) and wonder if anyone has any suggestions for fixing it--other than replacing the seat?28672

OCD kicking in?
I haven't noticed this in my car.
Your car is uber clean!

Perhaps a new seat cushion would fix the problem. It's a large expense to fix something purely cosmetic though - the cushion itself is well over a hundred dollars, and all that labor just to replace it is probably going to be a couple hundred more on top of that.

Oh yeah, she's a beaut, and I do confess to a bit of OCD where my favorite toys are concerned (I daresay everybody on this website has a touch of it). I knew it was like that when I bought it but, after looking at THOUSANDS, of pictures of E46 interiors and posts, I've never come across another such example. It really doesn't bother me, but I'd remedy it if there was an inexpensive fix. The leather's so tight, though, that I doubt you'd ever be able to stretch it into a straight position.

I've seen this on a few e46s. Have no idea what could've caused it.
