I decided to make a thread here on the mafia for my X5. Having the M54, being a part of the mafia, and wanting to stay connected over here, it just makes sense.

There are a few things that I want to address right off the bat: differential oil change, trans fluid change, and oil change. Pretty soon after I will most likely do the coolant system refresh.

So, there a few things that need to be addressed that I was aware of before I purchased the car. Nothing pressing. But, less than a week later I have a "filler cap loose" message popping up and then a service engine soon light coming on. So I'm guessing there is a vacuum leak somewhere. Then I start hearing a ticking noise that sounds like a messed up belt or fan. Great. Well I knew these things were trouble. I am gonna try and look around the motor today and see if I can see anything. I might just take it to my Indy.
