Found this on craigslist, looks to be a very nice smg m3 if someone is looking for one.

Yeah smg isn't as bad as you all think but IMO it is a value decreaser for sure. He is likely in for a long wait even with the low miles. That's a $16-18k car at best from what I've seen this year.

That smg tune (forget the name) is a game changer, I would consider one because of it.

Trevor (Rovert) was kind enough to let me drive his with some sort of software adjustment that was very nice. I'd still prefer to row my own gears, but I think I would greatly enjoy an M3 with an SMG in that configuration

These people are going nuts with the E46 M3's it's a completely seller inflated market.

What do you think would be the rock bottom price for the SMG's? How long will they keep going down before hitting the bottom?

Ive seen cars like this go for $10-12k and under $10k at auction (can't comment on condition of those obviously).

If something is well sorted out with maintenance expect to pay for that but again - the E46 M3 is on a wave right now and SMG guys are expecting to cash in as well but there isn't the same demand.

This is the same year as my M3. I bought my 05 two years ago with 93K on it for $17,500. This car looks to be well kept with all the maintenance records and it does have the competion package. It's funny how everyone says SMG, oh it's a POS or FAIL. I haven't had one single SMG related problem even thru two 150-120 degree summers out here in Las Vegas and I drive my car everyday. This car is over priced by about $6-7K from what I've seen even in great condition.

You can do a SMG to 6MT swap for approx $1500 if you find the right M3 and it happens to be an SMG.

The SMG Tunes are the CSL SMG Tune and the TTFS SMG Tune. This is a must for the M3 SMG!

Here is a 2002 SMG M3 for $16,500 with 86K.

2002 SMG M3 for $25,000 with 18K!
