Hey All,
Currently driving a 2003 540i MSport and a 2004 Miata LS. Always miss my old 2005 330ci. It was the right size and I still think the older Bimmers look way better than anything new (hence the 2003 5-series). Love the E46.
My first questions is "What is the ZHP tax"? Meaning if everything is roughly the same, how much extra is a ZHP vs a standard 330ci?
This is my old 2005 that I was leasing at the time 27896
Thanks!

ZHP Tax?? Hadn't thought about it that way, but interesting way of putting it.
My take: compared to the equivalent 330 of the same year, body, and mileage: 50%
Exceptions are the REAL low mileage cars and the rode hard and put up wet cars.....

That's an interesting question that I don't think has a definite answer. When I was in the market for an E46 two years ago, I was looking for either ZHPs or regular Sport Package equipped E46s (ZSP). During my search I found that despite ZSPs probably having much larger production numbers than ZHPs, they were just as tough to find a low mileage, well maintained example, and those that I did, also had a commensurate high price, or in your words, a "tax."
It really depends, but I would say ~15-30% added. Some people might not think it's worth it. Others do.

Yeah it would have to be comparing a ZHP to a ZSP. I dug out that old pic. It was a ZSP and boy were those wheels ugly.

I quite like the Style 68 wheels, but to each their own. I am in slow search for a square set for a winter set of wheels.

Welcome. We have a thread discussing what people paid for their cars. Not exactly what you asked but it will help your research
