What are everyone's maintenance day plans?

I'm hoping to do the following (at least the first two):
-Front swaybar links
-Underdrive pulleys, belts, and other pulley replacement
-GAS DISA repair kit

I will need major guidance, so any help will be much appreciated.

That should be doable! Pulleys aren't to bad except the PITA alternator. I know we had a hard time with BP's sway bar end links but, that was related to tools and compressor capacity, that I don't think we'll encounter.

I really only have a few things on my list I'd love to get done:

CDV Delete
New halogen headlight bulbs (Can't get my fat fingers in there to do it)
Coolant Temp Coding

I'll be bring my Porter Cable with all my polishing supplies and detail supplies....

Hoping to do my front window regulators. Ordered the URO Premium ones, so I'll be the guinea pig. The old ones work fine, but I'm tired of hearing them creak and move slowly the past few years. :)

Frank,
I can do whatever coding you need.

I'm bringing my impact and socket sets as well. This Milwaukee is a monster cordless wrench so we will have that as well as the air.

I've got an old SnapOn 3/8 drive air impact, 2) 1/2 drive air impacts, 1) 1/4 & 2) 3/8 drive air ratchets, an air chisel, air grinder and the Milwaukee M12 impact and drill. Also have metric sockets in 1/4, 3/8 shallow & Deep & 1/2 shallow impact. The compressor is an old school 5 HP that seams to do the job.

Don't leave yours home because of that. We may need more.

Looking to paint my brakes gloss black with silver rattle clips. Maybe clean up the front rotor hats. That's basically it.

Anyone happen to have black and silver caliper paint? If not, I can get some.

I will be bringing ramps, jack stands, coding laptop, electric impact, hand tools, and a jack with me. Does anyone need a power bleeder? I can bring that too.

Frank, you have a coupe correct? So you planning to bake your headlights and change the bulbs at the reunion?

You don't need to bake the headlights to change the bulbs - they are accessible through the backside.

For the turn signal bulbs at least, it's best to remove the headlight assembly. Not sure if the same applies to the low/high beam and DRL/FTP bulbs

Yep, either that, remove the air cleaner & washer tank, or REALLY small hands........

I'd go with the route of least resistance... removing the washer tank and air filter housing are both trivial tasks. Might as well!

Guy,
Do you have the capability of fixing a crossthreaded bolt? I can't secure my center console due to the bolt being crossthreaded, so I fear I may need to tap it out with a larger bolt. I don't have the tools or know-how... do you?

You da man!
I looked up Lowes/Home Depot near Guy's address and there's a Lowes about 20 minutes from there. Hopefully we can find a suitable bolt to replace the old one... not sure what the factory thread is, but the head is 13mm.

Lowes is across the street from the hotel. There's also the old Hawk Hardware in Tullahoma. Could also pick up a new one at the stealership before you head out.

It might be a good idea, Dane - in case John's kit doesn't have the right size. Juuuuuuust in case! :)

I don't think I can buy a new one from the stealer, Guy - it's cross threaded. I thought the fix for that was to tap new threads in a larger size, no? The factory bolt would be too loose in there in that case.

John -
I know you want to polish your window trim. Unfortunately, I had totally forgotten to clean my pads from this weekend. I just cleaned them tonight, but they most certainly will not be dry by the time I leave tomorrow morning...

I can bring my product if you'd like. Frank said he's bringing some of his stuff too, so between the two of us, we should be able to knock this out still. I have other goodies in my kit, just not my pads.

They're also 6" pads, which are too big to do the window trim properly. I wasn't too concerned with the trim when I did them; I only did my trim while doing my doors, so 6" wasn't an issue for me. A 3" pad would be better suited for the job if we want to do it right...

Frank, do you have a 3" machine and pads?

I have 3inch pads and the backing plate for my Porter cable. I'll bring it along.

I have 4. We're a little limited as to how many cars are on stands because of the angle of my driveway. I'm thinking 2 in the garage and maybe 2 in front, if needed.
