Just wondering does anybody know how much a BMW certified shop will charge for a new key fob battery?
I have two dead ones at the moment, and if the car is locked the only way to unlock it(as far as i know) is by unlocking the trunk, folding down the seats, and crawling through to drivers seat and unlocking all of the doors.

I believe it can be opened manually by using it like a regular key, however it is not meant to be a permanent fix. The doors were not made to be opened manually. The replacement is somewhere around $200, but will vary from place to place.
Or you could try replacing the battery yourself:

I made this DIY when I replaced the battery in my key fob. BMW will not sell you the battery for the key fob as it is not designed to be opened for battery replacement.
@ Prestovie.... if you look thru my DIY you will see why this key fob is not designed to be opened.
With that said if you order the battery and have the tools and skills, anyone can replace the battery in the key fob. Since battery replacement my key fob works just like new. Range has been increased significantly with the new battery.
