I'm by no means affiliated by ECS Tuning, but I've been keeping an eye out on getting black grilles for my 330i. They're currently on sale so I finally pulled the trigger. I'm thinking someone else on here might want to know.

I too have a pair of these grills and the fitment and quality is top notch. Very solid construction.

I missed the sale too, I emailed them and got a response saying to call and place the order, they'll honour the sale price until the end of the week. Which is exactly what i did.

I bought a set but was not happy to see 'eyebrow' lines molded into the tops of the surrounds, as you see on some newer BMW's. They are graciously accepting my return.

Removing the grilles to ship them back was much more difficult than I expected based on previous experience with OEM and Bimmian grilles. The ECS grilles don't mount the same way, and are hard to pry out. Beside the two top and two bottom clips (shaped differently than OEM) there's a hidden clip on one side which must be disengaged.

Assuming this is for your e92? looks like ECS grils for e9x look a bit different than the OE parts. Glad they are refunding.

I ordered a set for a sedan, but was saddened to recieve the package and notice that they sent me the wrong grilles. I recieved the 'eyebrow' grilles as well. Looks to me like they just messed up the last number of the part number when I ordered over the phone.

I will be calling to return monday and hopefully they will exchange it for the part I ordered.

Mine were correct! Did you see any lines molded at the top corners of the grilles?

ON EDIT: here's a detail with contrast and exposure severely adjusted to show the lines, particularly on the driver's side.
ECS acknowledge that their e46 gloss grilles will come with this line molded in.

Contacted ECS today about the issue I had, they sent out the correct grilles today and I will be exchanging the other ones. They handled it nicely. They also gave me a windshield banner, going to try to get it on tomorrow :thumbsup

Doing the day 1 noob thing and reviving a thread that hasn't been active in months...

I've been scrutinizing the photos of the ECS and BMW Performance gloss grilles and am so glad that I found this thread. The eyebrow detail on the ECS grille can be seen in some of their photos:

Did you guys ever get a version from ECS without the eyebrow? Is it something that you can just ask for, or will I need to spend the extra $50 on the BMW set?
