Greetings! Long time lurker from my e30 days. I am now the second owner of an '04 6MT Imola sedan cold weather, with 164,xxx miles. The car has some exterior blemishes I need to address mainly a fair amount of surface rust. For the price I paid I think I still made out like a bandit. This is a deal and alignment of events of a lifetime for me. The car is in great shape overall with great records, and goodies from the original owner. The guy really loved it, and the interior is pristine. I'm so delighted I have my own ZHP! My plans include OEM HID upgrade, not sure I want bi-xenon yet... need to upgrade the halogens though. I'm in Maine, have spotted a few examples near me down south. Always accost the owners whenever possible. Glad to be here!!!
P.S. First two blurycam pics are arrival in my yard, and the rest are the sellers pics.

Welcome. I had rust in several of those spots when I bought my car. Should be fairly straightforward to have done.

Thank you all :) Rust is a top priority. Might have an intake leak too, funny small world that I was reading a recent thread with Dual's post on BMW OEM Performance vs. Dinan... I was pushed over the edge on joining when I wanted to comment I wanted Dinan now too, and this was before I noticed Dual was from Maine!

Welcome! Nice ZHP. Get that rust sorted out and she will be beautiful.
Glad to see another Mainer on the forum. I'll have to hit you and Dual up when I am home this summer.
I grew up in the greater Portland Area and just moved to Cali 3 years or so ago. I miss winter, but not what it does to cars!

Thank you! :) One of my favorite cruising spots I hope to be hitting soon is going around Fort Williams, and Robinson Woods. I imagine the ZHP should like those road conditions, and perhaps I'll get that chance to honk at ya!

Welcome, nice ZHP. Once the rust is sorted out, it will be beautiful.
I miss Maine winters, but not what they do to cars lol. Just left the greater Portland area about 3 years ago to move to Cali.

I'm in Maine right now, first time I've been. We're visiting my wife's extended family and having grown up first in Oregon and later in Washington, I am loving it.
That, and her grandfather has a Delorean he's looking at selling soon! We have dibs now since it's my wife's favorite.

I loved Washington and Oregon when I drove through on my way to Cali. I stayed in Hood River for a few days and was in love. I have been told by many that Oregon is Maine's sister state.
Enjoy your stay!

No no. Oregon sucks. Weather's terrible. People are miserable. There's literally droves of ravenous squirrels that own the streets.

Man I lucked out then. I had 5 days of sunshine and met a lot of nice people too. Never ventured into Portland, just hung around Mt. Hood / Hood River area

Just giving you the Oregonian/PacNWer's joking refrain.
Hood River's really cool. A buddy of mine's cousin lives in Hood River and so we are down there a few times a year. Mt. Hood is a great mountain as well, first mountain I ever climbed.

2020 Update
Wow, has it really been four years ?! Sorry for no updates guys but better late than never . I just had a wonderful morning meet up with pedro2u. I snagged his mint alcantara wheel which will be the icing on the cake for stage zero ! Man I really scored on this wheel . What a great seller as well ! You all will be pleased to know the rust repairs have been done properly with genuine metal and is scheduled for the last round of maintenance and paint correction next month . I couldn’t wait to update you guys So be easy on me it’s lacking a proper detail and when correction is done I have new headlight lenses, corners , and fogs+ surrounds going in . Since we last talked it’s had new control arms and all the goodies , I opted to refresh with genuine Sachs , and genuine springs , etc. miscellaneous stuffs like tie rod ends too prob a few other odds and ends I’m forgetting like oil pan gasket or two . My next appointment will instal dr. Vanos rebuilt unit , upgraded disa , new cold weather ccv, vcg+cover oh and did I mention he’s doing a full lifter job too. I can not wait, and I will have some more pics then 🙂 Nice to be back guys!
