Well said. I too felt the same about the E90 interior until recently. I have driven my sister's E92 more and more and really see the improvements BMW made over the E46, though lol there is a lack in a few places as well. Things like the interior lighting, extra 12V outlet, much improved wind noise to name a few. Though window switches in the middle and non driver oriented dash pisses me off big time!

Maybe BMW is just so much in the future, that none of us can actually grasp and appreciate what they made until the newer model comes out? :rofl
The F30 is making everything on the road look old...even brand new, redesigned cars. BMW is just too far ahead of the game..

Yeah, I feel you there. It does look aggressive, but I don't know that BMWs need that. It's doesn't quite have a BMW feel, more a Dodge Charger feel or something that should have flames on it. (Plus, not into the lights). Just my .02. I like it, but something's not quite there for me. I don't want to take us too far OT though, as there is a different thread for this discussion.

My father had a 91' a few years ago. They were always (and still are) his favorite modern sports car ever made. The roar that the engine made with only an intake and mesh engine cover was unbelievable. I have yet to be inside of a car with a better engine sound. Hearing that thing roar from behind you is such an incredible experience. Its ALL intake/engine noise. No silly exhaust system to beef up the sound of a car where that is all you hear. Luckily I got to drive it a few times. I miss that car.

His ZHP is an everyday version of that. (yes I know there totalyl different cars) But both have a very nice firm ride yet dont pound over the bumps loaded with rattles. The engine noise is close enough to the NSX too, still no comparison. Maybe Ill convince him to get a gruppe M intake.

I haven't gotten to do an ///M school yet, but I think that's going to be my x-mas present from Kyle. I was just down there yesterday for a BMW CCA meet, we had our monthly meeting there and opened with an autox with your own car. The PC staff, also members of our chapter, were on hand to help out. They drove the cars down to the track for "get around" vehicles as they were still "working". I just happened to ask to go for a ride in the M5. I'm still amazed I got to drive it, even if only to park it back in another lot.

I got to deliver a brand new Audi a5 coupe at work today.. and I was liking that interior a lot (as much as I hate to say it.) It was nice, and modern.. unlike the E9x (IMO)

I didn't like the A5's power though. That.. and the steering. Waaay too tight. I think it creates a false sense of security of 'superior handling'

The reason I didn't say anything about the lines of the bootlid to the body is because how the bootlid is designed. There's nothing that can be done to the bootlid w/o having to do extensive body work on a product that probably already cost over $1k. No one is going to go the distance and redesign the bootlid off of an existing one....

Even with the minor issue that Kris pointed out...I still think that this car looks :drool

If a person wants to be picky... take a look at the ///M3 CSL. The bootlid is aligned the same exact way there and looking at high end CSL bootlid reps from vorsteiner and scorza, you will also see the same alignment as shown by my ///M...

If you look closely it does line up there is just a shadow that makes it look off.

I've got a spare one of these M70 motor's out of my our old E32 750. This makes me want to use than engine for something worthwhile! Before we took it out the car, it was running in perfect order with less than 145k on the motor.

That's the famed M12/13 1500cc turbocharged beast. Eventually made 1100+bhp at 4.4 bar. Brabham and Piquet won the Title in 1981. First Turbocharged car to do so.

One of my favorite engines. They used heads from the M10 that had over 100k on them and would leave them out in the elements. "If it was going to fail, it would have failed in the first 100k of it's life."

I love the Cadillac CTS-V to death. After seeing this car... I don't even have words to express it.


John Hennessey doesn't build cars. He builds bombs. Supercharged, turbocharged, V8-powered weapons capable of cataclysmic tyre destruction and straight-line annihilation. Welcome to his newest toy, soon to be deployed to US military units around the world*.

It's a 1,226bhp Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. That's right, twelve-hundred and twenty ruddy six horsepower.

Naturally, the inner cynic will be shrieking at the screen, but Mr Hennessey has form - case in point, the Venom GT. And, essentially, this is a more comfortable, coupe-version of that car.

Hennessey has ditched the standard Cadillac CTS-V's rather lovely 6.2-litre supercharged V8, and dropped in a 7.0-litre twin-turbo V8 - like in the Venom - to produce up to 1,226bhp and 1,109lb ft of torque. In a recent dyno test, he recorded one thousand horses at the rear wheels.

As such, the ‘Hennessey VR1200 Twin Turbo' will accelerate from 0-62mph - in "ideal conditions", that is - in just 2.9 seconds, hit the quarter mile in 10.2 and top out at 242mph. Quick, right?

That lump gets some special attention, too. The pistons are forged from aluminium, the connecting rods and crankshaft are forged from steel, he's lumped in high-flow cylinder heads, upgraded fuel injectors and a fuel delivery system, dual wastegastes, twin ball bearing turbos with adjustable boost control (800bhp, 1000bhp and 1226bhp), and an air-to-water intercooler.

Making a futile attempt to prevent nuclear Armageddon are a set of Brembo brakes, lowered suspension and Michelin Pilot super sport tyres, all fitted under a widened carbon bodykit (to allow for bigger wheels). Inside, Mr Hennessey has decided to bequeath much luxury to make your probable journey into the afterlife a more pleasant experience, via upgraded leather and alcantara.

Have a watch here to see it light up the dyno, and once you've decided, better get on the phone quick: he's planning to build just 12 of these nukes, each costing $295,000. You can spec it as a saloon or estate, too.

Little known fact: Don Panoz, father of Dan Panoz (founder of Panoz) attended Greenbrier Military Academy down in Lewisburg, WV. Later after studying Pharmacy at Duquesne University, he partnered with Milan Puskar to form Milan Pharmaceuticals (Now known as Mylan, Inc.) in White Sulphur Springs, WV. The two unfortunately parted ways in 1969 after Puskar's refusal to produce a transdermal patch, commonly used for nicotine treatment. He then moved to Ireland and founded a company there called Elan Corp., which holds the worldwide patent for the nicotine patch.

Random I know, but I was privileged enough to meet the Dan Panoz while he was in Morgantown with his charity to help with the extensive cancer research that takes place at our hospital. They were raffling off an Esperante GT and had it on display at The Waterfront Hotel. Asked him how his family was connected to Morgantown and got an earful of an awesome story about his father, Don. Had a picture with him on my old phone before I busted it :(

That's a demo video for a parking system in Hong Kong I think. The building is actually like an upscale apartment complex. The guy owns only those two cars you see when he's inside his place.
