I am lucky that I even have mine. But luckily I knew a frend locally who had one and sold his ZHP. His loss is my gain lol I debated on selling it last month, but then I remembered how intoxicating the sound is. Keep a lookout on e46fanatics. I see one up for sale every once and a while. Good luck! :thumbsup

You know, it's kind of funny how we all say intakes don't do jack on our cars, and they probably don't. But... after having put my GruppeM back on after a few weeks of running the stock intake, Wobz just felt peppier. And the sound... OMG, the sound... I don't care if I lost 20 horsepower by putting it on (if that was true), I'd STILL keep the intake purely for the sound. Don't give up looking for one!
Here's a Kevlar one, to contrast the Carbon Fiber ones already represented:

Those intake would look alot better without that dumb blue coupler that is out of place. Something that is a nice quality silicone like this http://hosetechniques.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=101_5

Order from them directly. Just measure the length and outer diameter of the current one
It's probably a straight 2.5" id coupler.

Hahahahaha! Ditto.
I'll just state this flat out, though: There are no thousand-dollar CF intakes in my future. I'll save that money for the next car or something.
Just be glad we don't drive Astons. When I was googling around looking at pricing and suppliers, I found a one site selling Gruppe M intake kits for lots of different performance cars. There were some predictable pricey kits for the usual suspects like the 911 at a couple grand, but nothing prepared me for the intake kit for an Aston Martin Vantage for SIX THOUSAND DOLLARS. The lack of economy of scale rears its ugly head!

True, but if you drive an Aston I'm not sure you need an uprated intake. :)

Not to be boring, but other than sound, is there any actual measurable benefit to this upgrade, assuming an otherwise stock ZHP?
Just wondering, not trying to start an argument (if it's a hot topic).
Also, how does this unit compare to the BMW Performance one? Different, I know, but in any particular ways?

excerpt from ZPost from gferil's review:
Overall: after being treated to the sound of the GruppeM, I don't think I'd ever want to go back to OEM. The only thing that would make me go back is if for some reason the GruppeM was causing actual problems or made it feel like there was a significant power loss. Do I think the GruppeM is worth 2X the new cost or 3X the used cost (depending on deal you get) of the AFE? Personally, yes, I do. The build quality is better, the sound is exponentially better (in my opinion), and the feel at the low end is closer to OEM than the AFE, and high end feels better than both. There are obviously better things to spend your money on, but in my current situation, I had the extra funds, and I figured I only live once and already own a pretty sweet car, might as well treat myself to something nice.

Just to note, this is a Aussie site so the currency is in Australian dollars not USD. The unit shipped is approximately $605 assuming no applicable tax. Correct me if I'm wrong, historically used BMWP intakes are priced around $600. Sure the Gruppe M intake is not OEM but may be an option for those who want a new great sounding intake and do not want to wait.
FWIW, xposed is willing to do a group buy but can not give us an exact value until we can give them a volume.

Everything for the 911 is more expensive..... SOMETIMES (not mostly) better quality, but almost always much more expensive.

interesting. granted, the price is still crazy but depending on final cost, i would be interested in that. $729 AUD = $520 USD. if we combined the units into one shipment, we could save a bunch on shipping too. hmmm. :)
