I bought C/F Splitters from the group buy about a year ago and I used 3 1" screws to drill it into my bumper on each side. No matter how many times I tried to get them to fit right I could never get it flush and now the bottom of my bumper looks like swiss cheese :facepalm. I tried flexing and twisting the peices into the correct position and no matter what I do there are always gaps. I don't want to say the peice has fitment issues because it seems everyone else on the forums really likes how they fit so for right now I'm assuming that I am doing something wrong. What did you guys do to install these? I've gotten close to a flush install before but here are some examples of the gaps...

Honestly it looks worse in person, the gaps don't seem too bad in the pics but they are definitely there.

Is there 3M tape on the top edge?

3M seems to be the only way those gaps will close up.

The only double sided tape I could find in Advance Auto Parts was pretty thick so it didn't fix the gap and didn't seem to stick well. Is there one that is thinner that you use? Maybe I could try again with the tape.

That doesn't look bad (from here...). I had a set that was way off (1/4-1/2") on the inside end.

There is some double sides tape at lowes that's made for outdoors. It has red backing. That works really well. Don't put the tape right at the edge of the splitter or the thickness of the tape will make a gap.
When you hold the splitter for drilling, put a little backwards pressure on it so it forces the edges against the bumper. This is how it did mine. I have splitters from the same group buy...

+1 a second set of hands to apply the pressure or drill the screws is key. Mine are close, but not perfect either.

I've got some other exterior mods that will be going on at the same time! Clear tails, new lenses and headlight retrofit, and then the splitters!
