Sorry to make a thread like this guys,

This msg is for member: Rovert

I tried sending you a couple PM's but im assuming your inbox is full and cannot receive it. Anyways, I came across your ad through google images, for the 19 inch VMR's you had for sale a while back. The pictures of your car you used to advertise the rims look incredible and the way your car sits is exactly how im looking to have my car sit! (link to ad posted below). I was just wondering what your tire specs and brand were, if you were running any spacers, any fender modifications (fenders pulled? rolled?). Also, what suspension you had. How did the car ride with the setup?
Again, sorry for making a thread like this! Maybe, if anyone knows Rovert and may know what he was running back then and could help as well if he isnt active on here anymore. Your help would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!!

Trevor travels a bit (a lot?) so might be behind on PMs. I do recall him posting recently though. Hopefully this will attract his attention;-)

I'm here!! OMG you called me out. LOL. I remember reading it a while ago and totally forgot about it as it doesn't show on my tapatalk app. I travel around the world a lot so I use my phone a lot. Thanks BP for bringing my attention to this.

I owned those wheels with multiple sets of tires. I did not run spacers. My usual setup was a 235/35R19 front and 265/30R19. I'd stick with a 255 for a sedan as I had a minor rubbing issue with 265 fitment upon extreme compression at my lowered ride height with help from others in the car or driving aggressively in off camber right hand corners. I learned that I just needed to roll my fenders just a bit more and then my 265's didn't make any more rubbing on the rear driver side.

The suspension I ran were KW V2. After having that setup along with UUC front and rear sways, I came into great appreciation for what BMW did with this car for its stock form. The KW's were a firm ride but relatively compliant. Compliant as my mom who is clueless about cars didn't notice much difference. But you'll feel everything on the road if that's your goal.

I hope this helps and if you have any more questions let's keep it here so that others can learn off this thread as well. Again, so sorry for missing that PM!

Haha thanks aLot! So with rolled rear fenders running a 265 I shouldn't run into any rubbing issues? Or should I just run a 255/30 tire anyway? Also what brand tires were they? At the height you were at, did you have issues with bottoming out alot? Or was it comfortably low?

I was at a ride height that allowed me to do everything I do with a standard ride height, 99.9% of the time.

I've had Toyo T1R and Conti DW rubber mounted to those 19's. You'll be fine if you roll your fenders and/or dial in a bit of rear camber. You may not need 265 if you don't need ultimate grip by tenths of a second. 255's are more than fine.

Hmm. Okay. Maybe I should go with 265 because I'd like to fill out/eliminate as much of the fender gap as possible? Was it a 265/35 or 30 series. Man, speaking of kw suspension, the v2's have gotten ridiculously expensive :(

Fender gap is more about wheel offset than tire size. You could run a 245 on a 9.5" wheel and offset that aggressively to give a much more aggressive look than I had. I hardly did any changes. I ran 30 series on the back on either 255R19 or 265R19.

Oh ok. Gotcha. Then 255/30 it is.

Do you think I could run a 19 x 9.5 ET 33 in the back on a 255/30 and 19 x 8.5 ET 20 or even a 19 x 9 ET 35 on the 235/35's nicely having rolled my. Fenders?

My wheels were ET45 and I rubbed at 265. With ET35 you'd need like a 235 tire. LOL

Lol alright. Thanks again!!
