Hello all,

I am a new member here. I bought my ZHP almost a year ago to this day and finally joined this forum. I replaced the expansion tank and oil change when i first bought it. Then in June or so I installed H&R cup kit with race springs. I haven't taken any quality pictures yet (probably in the spring when it gets warm) but I have snapped a few with my phone here and there. Enjoy and let me know what you guys think!

Welcome! Good looking coupe. I like the level of drop. Any other maintenance or mods you have planned for it?

I'm looking at wheel spacers, need new RSMs and I have a tear in my steering wheel. Thinking about redoing it in alcantara but if I can get a new leather wheel for right now for the right price I'll be happy. Also going to either clean up my headlight lenses in the spring or just get new ones. I'm on the fence about getting halos. Last thing is I need to replace the ambient air temp and the wires. I saw a kit on ecs. Mine will beep continously every now and then haha.

Maybe wheels down the road but not sure yet. I actually like the look of the oem wheels. Some of the best looking BMW has made imo.

1. RSMs - I suggest Rogue Engineering's if you're looking for a better design than OEM. A lot of members here have them and like them for their better design and build quality.
2. Can't go wrong with Coby for alcantara. Everyone that wants a leather wheel I suggest going with DCT Motorsports for a mixed leather/perforated leather wrap. It's more expensive than Coby, but I got one and love it. You can check it out and read some info on it in my project thread here (http://www.zhpmafia.com/forums/showthread.php?15714-William-s-330Ci-ZHP-Maintenance-and-Project-Thread&p=431923#post431923).
3. New lenses are difficult on a coupe. Probably best to try and wetsand, polish, and seal your current lenses.
4. I really like halos/angel eyes, but only on sedans. They look too...ricey to me on coupes but that's my own personal preference.
5. Our Style 135 wheels that came with the ZHP are gorgeous. My only gripe with them is their weight (28-29 lbs). I'm picking up a set of 17" APEX ARC-8s through their group buy they're running. Link to it can be found here (https://www.groupbuyparts.com/index.php/group-deals/apex-17-arc-8-wheels-q1-2016.html)

First thing, wow your steering wheel is gorgeous!

I've bought RSMs from rouge before for my e36 and e30 and they were awesome for the price so I was going to get mine from there again. I agree with you on the halos somewhat too. I like them better on the pre face lifts more I think to add to your comment about them looking ricey on a coup. Idon't mean to offend anyone on here either when I say I think they're a bit overdone as well, which is why I'm on the fence about them.

Also the weight of the 135's is heavy for what it's worth and I have been looking at the concave Arc 8's but I'm not sure I want to fiddle around with different offsets and fitments right now.

Welcome to the forum! Our ZHPs are cousins! I just got the Coby wheel re-wrap with new alcantara. It's really nice, but I would prefer the perforated leather one that Bill has. Maybe I'll sell you mine :)

Here my new wheel

The wheel was done by Coby Wheel and is black alcantara with tri color stitch.

I might be leaning toward leather. Alcantara is nice but I feel like it might get beat up easily

That wheel is :drool How does the black alcantara compare to the OEM grey? The more pics I see of the black the more I want to wrap my wheel in black but I already have an OEM grey alcantara shift boot and don't want it to look out of place.

I have a steering wheel with black alcantara w/red stitching I use in summer months and absolutely love it. The alcantara steering wheel I use on my M3 is OEM grey alcantara...huge difference. I like the black :thumbsup

I prefer black because it hides dirt better and I like the contrast against grey interior. I think it blends fine with the other alcantara items.

Thanks for the side by side pics, just what I was looking for. Definitely swayed me towards the black now especially because the color of the stitching pops a little more on the black versus the grey.

Are you looking for a spare steering wheel because you want to have two steering wheels in the end, or because you want one to send to Coby while you still drive? If it's the latter, you don't have to. Coby can wrap one of their many wheels they have on hand and mail it to you and once you receive it, you just mail them your old steering wheel. You have to pay a core deposit, but you get that refunded once they receive your old wheel.

If you are indeed looking for a second steering wheel, there are a couple of guys on here who have them. Post a "wanting to buy" thread over in the ZHP related parts classified forum, someone will hit you up pretty quickly.

I was looking at the core deposit but it says on their website that they can't accept a wheel with tears in it, or at least that's what I read I may be wrong. Could anyone clear that up for me? My wheel currently has a large tear on the 12 o'clock position from the previous owner. If I could send them the one with the tear that'd be great though and pay the core deposit.
