Let's write down our mileage at the beginning of 2016. Make a guess how many miles you will drive this year, and compare with the real number when 2016 is over.

2005 ZHP : 140,014 miles. Guess : 4,000 miles.
2005 Mini : 141,729 miles. Guess : 1,000 miles.
2008 Saab : 78,719 miles. Guess : 10,000 miles.

Today was the first time this year I've driven the ZHP.

2006 ZHP: 60200
2008 X5: 80830

Weird that they are very similar and I wish I had paid more attention as they may have flipped on the same day. Anyway, predict 5k on the ZHP and 8k on the X5

LOL, nope. Under 8K myself.

Still after that perfect color and a manual eh?

Another LOL. Nah, I have the perfect color. :) I would like a manual though given that we'd have 3 cars and we'd no longer have the potential issue of the wife being stuck not being able to drive a car in case of an issue. My kid will need a car and I'm going to seriously start looking at a ZHP since we didn't pull the trigger on the E39 M5.

Wow, I'm shocked. Just checked mileage.. was at 77,152 on 1/6/14, one year ago tomorrow, when I put tires on the ZHP. Tonight it's at 82,643 - so I've only driven 5,541 miles in the past year. I put about 3k miles on the old Z4MC before selling it in mid-july, and have added about 5k miles to the M5 since then, a big chunk of that driving it back from Cincy. We take the GF's Golf TDI on all road trips & vacations, so that helps keep my miles down. At the current rate, my ZHP should last forever. :thumbup

2003 ZHP : 144,037. Guess : 8,300 miles
2013 Tacoma TRD : 40,298 miles. Guess : 11,450 miles.
2014 328I : 17,936 Guess : 8,650 miles.
2008 SeaRay 185 Sport : 11x.x hours. : Guess 72 hours.

Time to bump this back into session.

I'm done driving the ZHP for the year so, we'll start there.

2003 ZHP, ending 149,624 - 144,037 = 5587. Short by 2,713
2103 Tacoma TRD, current 55777 - 40,298 = 15,479, 4029 over and will add another 1100 to that by years end
2014 328I, current 25,017 - 17,936 = 7,081 short by 1,569 and will add 100+
2008 SeaRay 185 Sport 160 ish, To Be updated

If the rear tires on the ZHP weren't balled, the split between the truck and the ZHP would have been closer to the guess.

I drove the Miata a lot more this year so I was a bit short of my guess. I'm at 147,550, so 17,550 miles this year and probably 6,000 on the Miata which is now at 224,000

ha... i work from home and i put roughly 23K KMs on it in the last year - that's ~14K miles. i think that's the lightest year the ZHP has had! i normally average 30K KMs per year (24K miles). it's actually only done 9K KMs (5500 miles) in the last 6 months. conversely we've put that same mileage (14K miles) on the montero since last april!

the estoril ZHP saw only 3K KMs this year, and the Touring has done 2K KMs in the last two months. :)

happy trails in 2017, everyone! excited to see how many miles BP's car has by year's end (close to 300K?), and what fleet changes happen for everyone.... including my own! ;)

lol
As long as I work so close to home, I'm going to have a hard time filling that gap between the 23k I did this past year and the 30-32k normal mileage! I think 300k is out of the question... this year. Next year is not safe, however... :guns

I'm sure Ray will hit 300k this year, if he continues to drive the '03.

Seriously. I thought I was low but looking through this thread I'm not alone. I'm missing the heated seats more and more though...once the truck warms up it's fine, but the heated seats were nice in the interim period. Very nice to use them when I do take her out.

Put 8k on the 4runner and 7 on ZHP so combined 15k miles of driving for 2016. Not bad for walking to work. Probably will have to start commuting again mid way through 2017 so we will see.

so what is happening next year? :)

Nothing in particular - I was mainly referring to just hitting 300k "at this rate" by next year, since I won't reach it this year.
It should be easier very soon though - I just get pre-approved for a mortgage for a place that is about half an hour away from work, so the miles would rack up faster that way for sure.

1 car detached garage (with power!), with a pull down staircase for the attic storage. :)

Supposedly I'm going to be competing with someone else for this property, so we'll see how that goes... I think it may be a matter of who gets the paperwork done first!

Final numbers for 2016:

2005 ZHP : 142,460. Driven 2,500 miles approx.
2005 Mini : 146,415. Driven 4.700 miles approx.
2008 Saab : 88,574 miles. Driven 9,855 miles. Close to my estimate of 10,000.

We only had the 2011 X3 for 3 months in 2016 and put 4,200 miles on it.
Total miles for above 4 vehicles in 2016 : 21,222.
