I just noticed that Mishimoto has radiators for the E46 non-M.

Anyone try this or know any more info about it?

Then their shroud kit.

and then their pre-order expansion tank

This looks like an awesome solution with their silicone boots. :)

Very nice, But they are so expensive =(

I'm on the fence with their expansion tank.

They also have a radiator hose presale going on as well:

Expensive but engineered and wouldn't need a replacement every 60k miles so cheap if you're keeping the car long enough and value your time spent replacing the tank every 60k.

Just seems strange to me to put Japanese parts in a BMW. Nothing wrong with it, just seems strange.

Man, that ET does look pretty nice. Too bad I did my cooling system overhaul less than 10,000miles ago

We put Chinese parts in our cars all the time. lol

I'd rather have Japanese parts than Chinese parts. :)

Isn't the company based in Delaware where everything is designed/engineered? Seems that makes it American with a Japanese name...

It's not the parts per se, it's the brand names. It would be the same for me putting German brand parts in an American (or Japanese car). Today's cars are sourced from so many places I'm not really talking country of manufacturer.

I know nothing of the E46 parts, but there is a Mishimoto radiator in the Exocet I just finished building... Very nice quality. I wouldn't be upset about buying one of these for a BMW...

I was just checking out their thread over at e46fanatics (http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=1069701) and it seems very impressive. The pre-order price was $190 which if I saw earlier I think I would have jumped in on the deal. But now that it's $290 it's probably not worth the price since you can replace your OEM Expansion Tank (https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw-expansion-tank-e46-oem-17137787039) 4 times for even less.

For those considering these parts,
I got the radiator, expansion tank, and hoses. Radiator went in like a dream, same as oem, just like their other radiators. The quality and engineering on all of the parts is superb.
But...
The expansion was a bit too thick and caused the return port to the reservoir to stick out to far. This prevents both the oem hoses and silicone hoses from seating properly. Also lower connector to the radiator is very loose and won't hold coolant. I got the pre sale items, so I think it's the curse of getting the first batch of products before the kinks are worked out.
Currently talking with mishimoto to see how to fix. Good service so far. I will update when I know more. And I'll try to remember to post some of the pictures when I get home.

A couple pics I took during the install

25640

The Bottom plate that mates with the resevoir
25639
The issue with my resevoit being to big, made it a pain to mount on the plastic radiator mount.
25638

Here you can see the separation from the entire mount. I was able to get it mounted properly but it was difficult.
25637

But the entire set put together is extremely beautiful.
25636

And finally the radiator in the car.
25635

Still working everything with mishi, and I have no new updates there. Ill update again when I have a final solution.

After reading/seeing all of this and a lot of debating myself. I am definitely going to go for the Mishimoto Kit when I hit 200k on my ZHP

Mishimoto radiators are very nice. I know alota Mustang enthusiasts with them on their cars.
