Once I figure out an appropriate voltage-regulation solution, I could do this as well for folks on the east coast.

I don't know. I'm not even remotely ready to purchase any kind of battery charger so that research will have to wait.

LOL. i think alex can do the updates, so we should put together a DME-flashing get-together in ottawa. i'll bring my fancy charger. we need a place to plug it in, obviously, so we'll need to meet at someone's house.

i also should mention - if i find some spare time i need to setup my laptop - and buy the appropriate cable - to get INPA, NCSExpert and WinKFP working. no reason why i can't do it myself.

I have all of that setup on my laptop. If you get me a laptop, I can install all of this on yours as well. You will just need to get the cable though.
