Up for sale are some FCAB lollipops. Save yourself downtime by purchasing these and installing your new FCAB's before even lifting the car off the ground! Then take your old ones and sell them online to the next e46 owner that needs to do the same. If it matters, these were on a 2005 330i ZHP.

AKG used to offer pre-installed FCABS and I think their core was something like $35, plus you had to pay to ship them back in.

If you PM me an offer please let me know your shipping info.Just to be clear, these are used, the actual bushing will need to be removed and a new one installed before going on your car. You can purchase them pre-installed, but the cost is higher. With these, you can just buy the bushings themselves from the link below or your respectful shop/dealer and install them prior to lifting the car and tearing it down to minimize downtime.

daniel, those FCAB housings look fine - the bent part is the outer casing of the old bushing, it would be discarded anyway...

i have done it this way: insert my sawzall blade into the opening in the bushing (where the control arm goes through), then carefully cut outward, through the outer casing of the bushing sleeve. then pound out with a hammer. takes about 3-4min per bushing.

now that i have the koch tools bushing tool, i could probably remove the bushings easily with that. a lot cleaner. but the sawzall method works very well.

That's quicker than I expected. I'll give it a try. I'd read about the chisel method (deform outer sleeve then pull whole thing out). Didn't seem great to pound a chisel near the aluminum housing I need to save. Of course a saw blade isn't exactly the safest tool to use next to it either. Just have to go slow through that part.

yep, you need to be careful with the sawzall blade - putting the housing ear in a vise helps. also, i have a milwaukee sawzall which is incredibly smooth. i've used some pretty rough sawzalls that i would not want to put near the aluminum housing.
