FYI, the bezel can be swapped out, so if you find an appropriate headlight housing but has the silver insert, fret not. It can be changed for the black one. :)

I forgot that I swapped the bezels when I bought new lights, these are grey. I would just paint them black if I needed them.

What I meant by my post was that you shouldn't hesitate to buy a set of headlights because they have the silver inserts, because those inserts can be swapped out. You did mention that you wanted the "dark housing"; this insert is the only difference between the E46 facelift Xenon lights in terms of physical appearance. I fully understood that you were looking to buy full headlights, just thought I'd throw that tidbit out there. :thumbsup

And for the right price I would swap the black bezels and paint the Grey ones for myself.

Oh ok, I just realized I have a set of black housings laying around, just the tabs on my set of headlights are done for. What would I have to do with your set to be in working condition? I already have new lenses.

Well, the light output is crap. You would have to get that fixed either by swapping your internals or send them out for a rettrofit.
