Above is the link to the ad. What do you say about the asking price? I now work for BMW and most guys have the opinion that they are asking too much.

Reasonable price if it has a maintenance history. Probably a bit high and definitely high with no history IMHO.

i agree, I ran the VIN at work and there were only a few warranty items that were done. Small things like license plate bulb or socket replaced under warranty. Headlamp washer pump and nozzles replaced under warranty. The only slightly alarming one was that the DME was replaced when the car was a year old.

+1
If the DME was replaced under warranty I wouldn't worry about it too much. I did notice the seats are manual which I don't think were an option for the US-bound ZHPs, not sure about Canadian ones. Also the shifter knob is also different, off of an E46 M3 maybe?

Asking price is $11,000 in Canada. How much in USA dollars is that ?

No, Canadian ZHP's just don't have the red needle clusters. It is definitely a ZHP, I ran the VIN at work and it has the performance package.

Check for burnt headlight bowls, and if they are (is there any doubt?) make them either replace them with new OEM lights (which they won't do) or discount the car due to the expense you'll incur making them right.

Very good price, even without records.

Seems like it. According to our FAQ:
Question: And what about the BMW 330 vehicles in Canada that look like the ZHP in the United States?
Answer: Canada was different. In fact, BMW created the M Performance Package in Canada. It not only got the looks of its US counterpart, it also got the upgraded camshafts and engine tweaks. One thing that it didn't get, though, was the red needles on the instrument cluster. Moreover, the redline is at 6500 RPM, even though the car will rev to 6800 RPM -- just like its US ZHP counterpart. It also got the BMW Performance Package exhaust with the thinner walls (exactly like the one on the ZHP). Therefore, while it was not given the ZHP code name, it's simply a ZHP by another name. Indeed, it was given the option code of ZAM.

Seems like it. According to our FAQ:
Except the listing shows the options list based on a VIN lookup and Performance Package is listed. I'm at odds with the fact that it has manual seats though. I've never seen a ZHP/ZAM with manual seats before.

Haven't seen many with manual seats honestly, but this is as legit as it get. Real deal Canadian ZHP. I still think its a bit much though

yep. with the exchange rate the way it is, that's a good price. that's also about 95K miles, too, so not bad at all.

yep, exactly. no red needles for us in canada.

yep, it's not an M Sport. the exhaust is a ZHP/ZAM exhaust (M Sport got the standard 330i exhaust with the rolled tips).
that black ZHP you posted looks nice. shame about the manual seats, but i've met the owner of that small dealership and he seems like a good guy. the price is good for the KMs even with the manual seats. go check it out!

I am thinking about checking it out. The manual seats really don't bother me at all, I kinda like it. I have a Stage 2+ B7 Audi A4 right now, I'm just not feeling it. Plus working for BMW, it makes no sense to drive the other sporty German luxury brand..

And this is what I sold awhile ago before the Audi [emoji24][emoji24][emoji24]. I miss it sometimes...

i couldn't agree with you more. i came to my ZHP from 5 audis in a row, and man, i could not be happier.
i think the only audi i could be happy with would be a B5 RS4 Avant.

I'm a BMW guy at heart. The Audi just doesn't do it for me. It is a very nice ride and it is pretty damn fast, but it just doesn't have that "it" factor for me.

"understeer, party of 1, your table is ready..."
i hear ya. too front heavy, too understeery, and i couldn't get comfortable in them anymore.
also, after wrenching on the ZHP - they are too much of a PITA to work on. ;)
