that's a lot of car for $6700. looks good, despite the mileage.

I'd need to see maintenance records before I could make any assumption on how fair the price is.

as a former owner of a 325K-mile german car that was properly maintained, i concur. lots of life left. some many people look at mileage first and then immediately say "too high" - mileage is not the only factor. i've seen some pretty seriously-beat sub-100k mile cars. care is key.
here's a couple pics of my S6.... granted, mine was a bit of a rolling-restoration, but the interior was all original and i had the exterior repainted. suspension was overhauled with some custom-designed parts by me, engine had some basic upgrades and tweaks but nothing internal. i replaced the headgasket at 310K miles as preventative maintenance... original was still intact. i did a lot of upgrades along the way. awesome engine, very understressed, even at 290HP where mine was at when i sold it. a friend of mine who has several of these said it was stronger than cars with half the mileage.
sadly, the front suspension was of an archaic design and it really did not do low-speed handing well at all. highway cruising was where it was at. i had it for 4 years and 50K miles... the longest i've had any car!

Man, those pics of your S6 make me miss my old C5 S4. Although the steering was hilariously overboosted and loose at low speeds, the faster you went, the tighter it felt. And the sound of that inline-5..mmmmm. Fantastic snow car.

you mean C4 S4. :) the next S4 was the B5 (2.7L TT V6), and the C5 S-car was the S6 (4.2L V8).
yeah - the inline-5 sound was awesome. i do miss the noise, but the ZHP sounds better to my ears - more exotic. the only audi i would own at this point is a B5 RS4 - i am considering importing one. :)

Right you are! It's been so long since I've thought about S4s that I can't even remember their internal designations. Helluva car though. Dashboard about a mile wide too. It was quirky in so many good ways.

If that's the case then, I'd buy that if I had enough cash.
