Hi Guys,

I've been on the hunt for my first ZHP! Ideally i'd want an Alpine White MT 330ci... but have not found 1. I've come across two good candidates and wanted to share/ get some input from you guys. The links are below. I'm leaning towards the 330CI. Let me know if you guys think this is priced fair.

On the coupe.. "6-speed sequential semi-manual transmission". Uh, no. It's a manual.

No badges on trunk, but perhaps more importantly, no VIN sticker where it belongs on the trunk, behind the license plate. Trunk lid has either been replaced, or at least resprayed. If you go look at that car, check carefully for quality of repair/paintwork. I'd ask for a Carfax for both. Any used dealer not willing to provide one I'd avoid, period.

I'd be leery of mileage on both cars, when buying from a dealer and (assuming) without service history. Both could need a ton of deferred maintenance. A PPI would definitely be in order for either.

GLWS!

I would not choose either
There was a 330ci at Fremont BMW
That would be a better choice

Wow, FAR better deal! And - being sold by a BMW dealer, I'd much sooner trust them then one of those indy joints. With a little luck, it's a 1-owner car traded in on a new one.

More pics located at dealership's website:

Edit: Free Carfax at dealer site, it's a 2-owner car, spent most of its life right here in Arizona. Tons of service records on the Carfax report. Man, somebody who is OK with an auto/gray interior needs to jump ALL over this, it looks like a peach at a very fair price.

Edit2: Looks like ONE owner! Damn.

BMW of Fremont is where my car was sold new, can't say I'm not biased, but that looks like a much better buy! Although, I do like the color combo of the one at Roseville...and I would always look for a sedan before a coupe...but that's beside the point.

I like the looks and price of the sedan. Narrow down what you really want as far as doors and transmission. Don't settle.

I like the 330ci posted by OP. Less miles than the sedan. The asking price seems to be ok. PPI and negotiate based on results.

Edit: I also agree with the posts about the one at BMW dealer. Very likely, it's a better choice. Good luck !

Hey thanks for the input all! I definitely want the alpine white coupe, I feel like I would be settling. Called and asked for the VIN yesterday. He said the car was in an accident shortly after purchase in 05.

@KevinC I didn't even notice those small details, looks like I'll pass on them both. Very helpful input.
