My car is going to get a 6MT swap! YES! AUTO -> 6MT!!
I got the parts today for hella cheap from a friend who was parting his 05 330i mtech pkg.
Pics are here:

21544
I got the:
oem 6MT Tranny
oem Fly wheel
oem Clutch pedal
oem Brake pedal
oem shifter
I am not sure what else I need but please give me some advice on what parts I should get. I heard I need to get a new Flywheel? I am not sure.
This is exciting stuff for me.
Cheers

Sweet, welcome to the MT club!
Auto's don't really have a flywheel, just a ring gear for the starter to turn so yes you'll need one of those.

Also not sure if you can re-use a pressure plate. Do some research on installing a BMW Self Adjusting Clutch.

Yes, it was a black 330i. Do you have any knowledge where the car came from?

I'm really looking forward to this. I thought about doing it a long time ago when I owned my ZHP, but gave up the idea when I could buy an M3 instead. I think you'll find a new appreciation for the car and keep it even longer than you had anticipated.

There was a member on here that started a 6MT swap thread. Not sure what the outcome was as he just disappeared shortly after starting it. [emoji15]
EDIT: Found it! "Pilotnick1203"

Wow. After reading that I would just sell the car and buy a manual lol
Hope you have friends willing to help. Doesn't look like a very fun solo job.

I would do that too but this car has high sentimental value and i cant let it go, seriously. So far, I only spent $400 CAD not USD but canadian on the full kit minus the drive shaft which I am going to pick up this weekend.

I am sending it to a shop. I wish I had friends with this kind of knowledge

Did you grab the diff as well? Not sure if yours has the 3.64 automatic ZHP one. I had a shop do ours after getting all the parts needed. The DIY thread has just about everything you need. The excel spreadsheet is nice. It makes the shops job so much easier. I would make sure you can find a shop to code the car correctly before you start this.

No, I didnt grab the diff. The shopping that I am going to has a lot of experience doing these swaps. I met up with someone in the GTA that did the swap with the shop that I am going to. His feels like it rolled out from factory.
