Any 3-series 3.46 will be easily swapped into my 330ci manual correct? Just making sure, some of the info on eBay can be misleading

The ZHP uses different output flanges from the other models. These are EASILY swapped between differentials, so yes, any 3-series 3.46 diff can utilized swapping your current flanges with the ones from the 3.46 during the install process.

I dont have any buy I know of two for sale in SE WI. Seller was asking $150 for a 3.46 that he had in his zhp. Obvioulsy we know it was from a different car but still maybe a little more piece of mind knowing it worked well in a zhp. I'll be in touch with him today regardding some bimmer brakes headers he might sell me. just let me know

I bought a 3.38 open diff on ebay for pretty cheap, like under $200.

The guys at m-factory told me that the ZHP needs a 6 bolt input shaft and most e46 diffs use 4 bolt flanges. While the output shafts are an easy swap, the input shafts are not as simple. Anyway, they said that the 3.38 diff out of the A/T cars was the ideal swap because it will have a matching input shaft.

I guess regardless of the ratio, make sure that whatever diff you buy has the 6 bolt input flange.
