Looks great...love the concave Arc-8 look on all 4 corners! 255s even raising it a 1/2 inch I'd imagine you'll get some rubbing unless you pull the fenders...I had the 18x9.5 Arc-8s with 255-35s in the rear of my coupe with the fenders rolled and would rub when the suspension compressed.
Thanks! I love this setup.

The rear fenders are rolled with the bumper-to-fender bolts removed, so I would imagine there wouldn't be too many issues. We will see!

Hi all, a quick update on the car/life.

I'm in my senior year of college (in the CS program at Boise State), and all my time is being sucked up by school and work. I don't have time to take care of the good ol' ZHP like I used to. Now, I don't HAVE to sell it, I'm fortunate to be in a position where I could hang onto it - park it for awhile, and resume once school is over next year. However, my wife and I are trying to eliminate as much debt as we can before we graduate.

So that means that I'm going to try and sell the ZHP. If the right buyer picks it up for the right price, I'll let it go.

Here's some updated pics, because it looks beautiful right now. I picked up a DA and some polish and detailed the whole car. The carpets were shampooed and cleaned, and I got some of that Chemical Guys leather cleaner/conditioner for the seats (I highly recommend it!)

The car is definitely not 100% perfect, but it's a damn good example and has been treated well. I hope that I can watch someone take it on and bring it to 100%!

If you happened to be interested, be watching out for my for-sale ad in the classified section within the next day or so. Onto the pics!

With all of the work that you've put into this car, I wouldn't take less than $12k.

Oh and even then you'll end up hating yourself in a year or two when you're buying another ZHP and starting over at square one.

Don't say that to me :facepalm
Trust me, I know. This is not an impulse sell, and like I've said all over... if I don't get my asking price I'm not selling it. I am way more into this car in just money - let alone time, for what I am asking. We will see what happens.

Just trying to save you the pain, man. I'm one of the many members that sold their ZHP just to get back into another one within two years and start back over from scratch. It's almost a guarantee with these cars.

On a project-related note: I saw that you were planning on going to 255/35 for the tires instead of sticking with 235/40. What was your reasoning for that?

Yeah! The only reason I wanted to switch it up was to get away from the stretched look. The ARC8 wheels look much better with a little bit of overhang.

I have 245/35/18 on the same wheel setup don't really look stretch at all . I think 255 would rub big time

Unfortunately V12's are fairly lacking in the grip department

This has been one of the weirdest times selling a car I've ever experienced. Am I just asking way too much money? Do people in the ZHP buyer's market not appreciate maintenance/modifications like they used to? All I've received over the past few weeks are insane lowball offers from people that have no idea what they're talking about. It's super frustrating.

/end rant.

But for real, at this point I'm considering just pulling it and trying again next spring. I will store it over the winter as my wife and I have 3 vehicles right now and don't need to be driving the ZHP.

I just finished doing the steering rack, valve cover gaskets, knock sensors, and brakes on my 4Runner. I'm done wrenching on cars for awhile. :D

I dunno man. Everything happens for a reason... maybe your life is best right now with it - just drive and enjoy. Maybe ZHPs will start appreciating over the winter and in the spring, you'll have a bidding war on your hands. Who knows? Stay positive though, because getting down/frustrated about stuff only leads to more down/frustrated. :)

Where else have you posted it? You might try additional for sale ads on other websites.

Can non-ZHP Mafia members see classifieds here? I keep sending my friend ads that are posted here, but he says he can't see it on his phone, effectively being locked out for being a non-member.

Based on what I've seen in terms of ads and having owned a ZHP myself (still do) I don't think you're asking too much. People will want to pay less due to simply wanting a better deal, but with all the maintenance etc it's well worth the asking price I believe, especially if all that work is recent. My guess is two factors affect ZHP sales... in this case mileage (it's on the higher end) and the simple fact of being able to buy a regular E46 dirt cheap then modify it to your liking and even make it faster for similar/same price as a ZHP.

On a side note, if it's still available in the spring there's a big chance I'll have the $$ to grab it from you. I'd like to have a cleaner twin to my Imola ZHP :).

I'm pretty sure non-members can see Mafia classifieds now. However that's a recent change. Ask your buddy to try again.

I have it posted to Craigslist and a couple of Facebook groups (Utah BMW Enthusiast Classifieds, E46 ZHP Owners). I'm really starting to hate the E46 ZHP members group after being burned at the stake for my transmission fluid choices.

Hey, if I still have it then, I would gladly sell it to you. I would prefer it go to someone that loves ZHP's just as much/more than I do.

No worries at all man. The stars just didn't quite line up and now you've got yourself an insanely rare combo!

I appreciate all the encouragement from everyone. This forum is one of the best I've ever been a part of.

Changed the transmission fluid to Redline MTF 75w80 the other day. The shift feel is incredible. The selector just slides into every gear effortlessly. Before, it was fairly notchy on first-to-second shifts, and engaging into first from neutral while stopped. I guess the Pentosin MTF2 isn't a lifetime fluid!
