Found on Craigslist. Ad says Mystic Blue but looks to be Orient Blue on Alcantara interior. Cannot determine if it has Cold Weather Package. Does not have Premium Package.

Looks like Mystic to me; it does have cold weather, you can see the buttons. Doesn't look very clean in the pics but depending on maintenance history this might be a nice find for someone! My previous Mystic is in Atlanta somewhere.

Did some digging on the seller and found this thread basically calling this guy a crook (scroll to end of page 1). http://www.bimmerforums.com/forum/showthread.php?1969616-2001-BMW-540i-touring-black-on-black-sport

It's the same seller (same location and phone number). Based on this forum presence on E46fanatics and bimmerforums, it looks like he parts out a lot of BMWs.

I'm not making any judgements on the guy, just producing some facts I uncovered.

But, he is lying about something. Per Autocheck, mileage is well north of 270k. Odometer shows 135k in pictures.

Auto check could very well be incorrect. If he is hiding the mileage, he sure went through a LOT of trouble to do so...

There's no tamper dot, so if the mileage is truly incorrect, he would have had to either find an LCM AND a cluster from a ZHP and swapped it over, or, soldered on the chip from a car with lower mileage onto the cluster and programmed the LCM. That's not a job for the faint of heart.

I wonder what CarFax says in comparison.
