The drivers seat in my 330Ci has a tear in the side-bolster (black leather) I found a good seat on CL locally for $140 to replace it, so I'm thinking of welding up a base for the old seat and using it for an easy chair. Find myself a little 12v power supply and I could even have all the adjustments!
The new seat even has heater elements in it, although I'm not sure I want to do the work to wire it up...particularly since I don't drive it in the winter. Maybe someday, when I'm bored!
