Hello all.

Oh how I wish that I had a ZHP but for the time being I'm just stalking zhpmafia.com like it's the only car porn available. I had an 03 330i sedan with sports pckg about 5-6 years ago but at the time I was dating what's called a "suck-u-bus" and I couldn't afford to maintain the e46. Oh how I should have sold her to the highest bidder instead of my beloved 330i.

I look forward to being a part of the mafia family and must admit that The Sopranos was the best show in the history of TV. :fistpump

Welcome. So I'm not clear, are you looking for a ZHP?

Great question. I just paid off my 2012 Camry, which is a great car, but I'm really struggling with finding a valid reason to sell a car we've paid $32,000 for(it's fully loaded with lifetime powertrain warranty and free maintenance for 2 more years) to go with a 2004 or 2005 ZHP that's 10-12 years old, that's smaller (which isn't good cuz we just found out we're preggers) and don't have the garage space for a 3rd vehicle.

To make a long story short, I'm not sure if I can work a ZHP into the equation in the near future but oh how I would love to. Maybe someone can give insight that I haven't already thought of?

With a new one on the way, sounds like you need to ride out the Camry for a while. Congrats on the upcoming baby.

Thanks, hopefully it won't be hard to find a low mileage, 6 spd ZHP in a year or two. :( Just typing that makes me sad I have to wait that long for a car that stopped making so long ago. Kleenex please.

On another note, I've thought about going with something like a 2010 550i manual so I wouldn't lose the space that I'm used to with the Camry but that doesn't make much sense either, especially since I don't like the lines of the newer 5 series gen vs. the e46 gen. e39 doesn't do much for me either compared to the ZHP either. Who knows what'll happen.

Live vicariously through the experience of others here for a while! And then. . . when the kids are grown up, . . .Sell the Camry. If you do what I did, wait 17 years to sell the Camry (give it to your son or daughter) and then, buy the ZHP.

Vas,

Currently we have the 2012 Camry with 40k miles and a 2010 Matrix(hatch) my wife drives with 55k. I've already talked to her about parting with it but the only thing she'll sell it for is a SUV.

Right. Typically I go through cars every 2 or 3 years so now that I've had the Camry for 3 and just paid it off I'm itching for another. Unfortunately it just doesn't make sense to part with her. The newer bimmer's are being designed to have smaller motors with more forced induction who knows if the ZHP or another bimmer would be the best fit. I know the numbers are there but something about downsizing to 4 cylinders and adding more forced induction doesn't excite me when dreaming of windy roads unlike the S54 or something comparable, ya know?

Welcome, sir. Difficult decision here. If I was in your shoes, I would keep the Camry because it's newer than the Matrix, and it has less miles. Anyways, GL !

Welcome, from down in Coffee County! FYI: once you drive a ZHP, it should make your decision easy. I would say, get it before your paying for Pampers.

Welcome. And sounds like from a financial standpoint the decision is made (keep the Camry). Although, plenty of folks here use the ZHP sedan as a family (baby seats, etc) mover, although it is a bit cramped.
