First time BMW owner here, I was looking for a 530i when I stumbled across an Imola Red 330i ZHP car in PA. I guess you could say it was love at first sight, lol. I happen to stumble across this forum while researching more (I can't help it, I'm an Engineer). I drove down this past Saturday and made the 250 mile drive back without any issues. Payed NY some absurd amount of taxes to register it, washed her up and drive it to work for the first time today.......in the rain, but hey it was clean.
In my research I found that this car was originally purchased by MicJagger on e46Fanatics.com and then sold to Dgearing. I purchased it from the 3rd owner who had good maintenance records. Most recently the cooling system was overhauled as well as a new fuel pump. The first owner installed a nice JL Audio, MB Quart stereo system. Lowered on H&R Springs with Koni struts. Over all it's a nice car with only a few minor issues. I'm looking forward to spending some time with some polishing compound to work out some of the swirls and such.
On to the pictures!

What, no curb rash on the wheels? Didn't think that was possible! :biggrin
Welcome, beautiful car (I may be biased!) You'll like it here, lots and lots of good folks!

Thanks! She's 112k young. There is a little curb rash on the wheels, but nothing to bad. On my way to work today I smelled oil, looks like the valve cover gasket that was done 10k miles ago is leaking. Ordered a new Victor Reinz gasket kit to hopefully fix the issue, seems like it's pretty common.

My H&R/Koni Imola twin! Car looks great. Hope you can get the oil leak remedied without too much trouble. Any chance it's the oil filter housing gasket?

Looks like its leaking out of the front and left side of the valve cover. I cleaned up the oil tonight and I'll check it again after my drive to work in the morning.

Welcome! Prolly didn't put enough RTV along the curved portions where the gasket doesn't seat well.

Sounds like fun, I'm out west of the city by about 20 minutes.

Why yes it was. I found it on craigslist, started researching the ZHP and found the car listed in the forsale section here. Super nice guy who had a bunch of documentation for the car.

Looks like it, seems to be a pretty easy to fix. I had to do the VCG on my last car (IS300) when I did the timing belt and water pump.
