WTB used smartphone for Verizon - Droid or iPhone

Need a functioning smartphone to add to my Verizon account. Do not need latest and greatest. Need function and prefer cheap. Few scratches, etc fine with me.

I gave in and just went to COSTCO. We updated the family account (VERIZON) to the new EDGE program. I got a SAMSUNG GALAXY CORE PRIME for $8 per month for 24 months (this is a personal phone and I have a company phone too so I went cheap as possible), wife got new SAMSUNG NOTE4, and daughter got new iPhone6. We got a $150 COSTCO rebate for each line (3 x $150). I hate shopping for cell phone and service - only think worse is car shopping.

Just so you know, the Verizon EDGE program is a blatant ripoff. You ultimately end up paying more in the end.
