I do like my Bimmian mount except for the rattles (mostly when no whine installed). But do consider this one that someone (Seth?) recommended. I have it for my work iPhone and like it a lot. QuGi[emoji768] Air Vent Mount (Amazon)

Yeah Dane and I run the QuGi also. Super cheap and works great. Can move it car to car as well.

Two square foam pieces with adhesive on the back. Stick them on the base and slide the holder on. Works great! If you need some I have extras I can send.

If you can find those double stuffed vanilla Oreos... Otherwise no...

Edit: WTF? This was a text message I sent yesterday ... How the F*ck did it end up here? I was wondering where it went...

Oh and I have one of these mounts. The only issue is when someone really big sits in the passenger seat their knee tends to hit the mount and bend it. Once it's bent, it won't sit right under the trim

BTW double stuffed vanilla Oreos are delicious!

After spending some time looking at those vent mounts online I thought, hey, isn't that something I'd find at walmart or something? So I went to my local walgreens and they had a cellphone vent mount for $5, and it had rubber grippy's and everything (so no scratching my vents). I am surprised how solid it is, and it doesnt feel like its putting too much weight on the vents either.

Bimmian mount looks great for those that might need a more permanent solution.

For my needs though that $5 mount is going to be perfect

I also remember my bimmean mount rattling. Since moving on from the E46, I've been using ProClip USA mounts (https://www.proclipusa.com/) in all my cars and can't compliment them enough. Their mounts are expensive but absolutely worth it - by far the best quality I've ever seen. E46 section: http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-mounts/vehicle/bmw/3-series-m3/2004.cmsv

Search "magnetic phone mount" on Amazon. There may be some viable options there.
