I will be doing my rear shocks at the mafia meet this weekend. I will also buy the shock mounts and reinforcement plate.
I need help deciding between the Sachs, the Koni STR.T , or the Bilstein Sport shocks.
They are about the same price ~$160-180 / pair.
Should I consider something else? I am not into lowering the car.
Just the rear? Are you going to do the front in the near future?
I would do this especially at the price point

Yes, just the rear for now. One of the rear shocks sprang a leak.
I will have to pay someone to do the front at a later date (don't feel comfortable playing with springs).
Thanks for the link to turner Vas, I forgot to check them.

There are plenty of people that the reunion that would be able to help you with the front. At least order the full set so you can get the sale price :)

I would go with Bilstein. Lifetime warranty, and the warranty process is easy as heck. I just went through it myself. :thumbsup
The Sport is stiffer though. Try the Bilstein HD's if you don't want a firm ride.

Darn BP, I just placed my order for the Koni STR.T. Since I will learn how to do that at the reunion, I can always switch again!
I'll talk to you guys about the difficulty of doing the front on Sunday (I am a woos).

Oh well! Any of them is better than blown stock shocks. :thumbsup

Tell me about it. Sketchi has become even worse after you drove it.

Fronts aren't bad, could easily be done Sunday if you have the parts. We'd need spring compressors, which I could bring. Again, I'd buy the strut-tower reinforcing plates as well as new strut mounts and bump stops. No reason to wait if you have willing help!

The HDs and Sports are the same valving with some minor differences (piston length and internal bump stops) between the two for stock ride height (HD) vs lower ride height (Sport)

I really like the Koni orange STR T I put in the back and will be buying the same shocks for the front.
Will also buy upper mounts and reinforcement plates. Maybe will also splurge for the new ECS tuning strut bar.
Should bump stops also be changed? I didn't change them in the back.
